[Merry Christmas 2022] Dining indulgence at Burger & Lobster + Bella People & Coffee

Image
Christmas has been my favorite festive holiday since I was a child, as I love shopping for gifts for my friends, colleagues and my loved ones! Baby arranged a Christmas Eve dinner for us at Burger & Lobster, which is located at the Raffles Hotel. We ordered the Christmas Set for our dining indulgence.  We ordered some wines, and it was a great start to our festive celebration! The Christmas Set came with a yummy Lobster Bisque and B&L Sampler Platter - a mini  Lobster Roll , a mini B eef Slider and  Grilled Original Lobster  along with their  Signature Lemon and Garlic Butter  Sauce. For our sides, I had  B&L Fries  while Baby had the  Salad. We ended our lunch on a sweet note. For desserts, we had Bread  Pudding !  Thanks Baby for the wonderful meal, and we thank Father Jesus for taking good care of us during this pandemic period. I look forward to more celebrations together in the coming years! Baby and I...

Dim Sum Brunch at Kai Duck by Kai Garden + Merry Cheesemas at Burger King + Xing Hua Restaurant

Image
Happy Weekends! It may be pretty difficult to find an affordable yet delicious Cantonese-style Peking duck in Singapore. On a random weekend, I went to Kai Duck, by Kai Garden , which is located at Ngee Ann City for lunch. It serves awesome Cantonese-style Peking duck and dim sum at affordable prices. The Sliced Peking Duck with Crackers tasted pretty unique as it was a stack of layers of crackers, vegetables and sliced Peking duck skin in homemade sauce. I love the thin and crispy duck skin, as well as the special sauce which was prepared from scratch! We had Deep-fried Yam and Pumpkin, and I  love the natural sweetness from the pumpkin! The Pan-fried Carrot Cake was shaped like a pizza. It is a modern take on the classic dim sum dish. It is filled with lots of turnip, and  pan fried to a maximum crisp on the outside, yet remained soft on the inside. We had a nice lunch and the damage was pleasant too. Thanks Baby for the meal! Are you a fan of Christmas? Do you love eatin...

[Fall Italy Vacation] Day 04 : Goodbye Milan ; Hello Florence + Galleria degli Uffizi + Piazza della Signoria

Image
We left our Milan apartment after staying there for 3 nights. We woke up early to get our breakfast fix from Carrefour which is literally located below our apartment. We packed our luggage and headed down to Milano Centrale to take the train to Florence (in Italian, Firenze) . It was a about a 2-hour journey from Milan. We bought a sandwich to share during our train ride! Upon reaching Florence, we checked in to our hotel - Glance Hotel which is a 4-star hotel located pretty near to the train station. Most of the tourist attractions were within walking distance from the hotel. In short,  it is located within the heart of Florence. I love the bathroom amenities from Rituals,  and there was a swimming pool located at the top level of the hotel! The day market is located directly opposite our hotel,  and the market sold mainly leather goods, scarves and miscellaneous souvenirs. Florence is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe and a true paradise for art and architectu...
