[Food Review] VarySG + Eco Harmony Cafe

Image
Welcome to Arab Street ! VarySG is a halal-certified eatery located at Arab Street (Bugis) , and the joint offers  TikTok-viral XXL fries - Varitos (Monster Fries).  The shop is really tiny and narrow!  I tried their Signature Monster Fries and I was not disappointed. The fries were crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Most importantly, they were not greasy at all. OMG! They were highly addictive! This eatery place offers 6 inch long fries served in different seasonings and different sauces. I tried the fries that were dusted in sour cream and onion sprinkle powder. For an extra kick, I topped it off with Mentai Mayo & BBQ sauces which came in tiny tubes! They also offer stuffed baked spuds, and I tried the Meatballs Jack Varispud. It was great! Feeling exhausted after a long day at work? You’re not alone, as many Singaporeans feel the same way too.  I was excited to learn that Heineken was inviting into their  Heineken Afterwork Refreshed - a pop-up event held at Ann Siang Road .    This initiative encourages office workers of all generations to achieve a better work-life balance, starting with leaving work on time and making the most of their after-work moments. I was glad that I visited the  London-based illustrator Tess Smith-Roberts’ solo debut pop-up exhibition in Singapore - “Hello Singapore!” . It was held at the Heartware Store & Gallery, a cosy new art space at Joo Chiat.   Both Baby and I are art ...

Image
The next day, we headed down to the café to have our breakfast as our room stay came with it. I love the breakfast spread, and it was so good as it had a great selection!  We headed straight to West Kowloon Station for our day trip to Shenzhen, China . Crossing over to Mainland China, Shenzhen is pretty simple from Hong Kong, as there is a direct high speed train from West Kowloon Station to Futian Station and it took us only 15mins to reach Shenzhen (both custom clearances take place in West Kowloon Hongkong). Prior to our departure, we purchased our round train tickets to  Futian, Shenzhen  from  KLOOK . We missed our initial selected train timing due to the long lines at the customs into China Border. We were told to seek the assistance from the customer service to change to the next available train. Luckily, our train ticket was under First Class, so the seats were immediate available on the next train schedule! Upon clearing the immigration custom, we walked ...
