[café hopping] Flipper’s at Ngee Ann City + Dinner at Xing Hua Restaurant
I
started to take days off from work in order to clear my annual leave this year.
I met up with R, S and E to have our girls’ afternoon day out. We went for an
afternoon tea at Flipper’s which is located at Ngee Ann City.
Upon reaching the premises, we were greeted by bright yellow neon signs. The eatery place was pretty spacious as it was decked out in yellow, grey and wood furnishings.
No
Japanese café visit is complete without Matcha (green tea) desserts, so I
ordered the Kiseki
Pancake Matcha.
The pancakes are served with a parade of toppings: azuki bean paste, Matcha
whipped cream, fresh cream, and topped with Matcha powders.
The
texture and flavor of the soufflé pancakes are light, which felt like a chiffon cloud! There is a hint of earthy bitterness that makes the Matcha so distinct.
Chocolate
fans can opt for the Kiseki Pancake Hazelnut
Chocolate instead.
The
damage was about SGD32-ish. After 2 hours+ of non-stop chatting, we left the
eatery place, and proceeded to Daiso Ion to get some gift bags for our
Christmas gift exchange preparation.
Both
Baby and I revisited Xing Hua Restaurant which located at Suntec
City. As usual, we ordered Xing Hwa Lu Mian, and it tasted extremely
delicious!
The Sweet
and Sour Pork with Lychee was da bomb! It is always on our top
‘MUST-ORDER’ list!
The
Prawn Roll tasted pretty decent! It was a pleasant meal on the whole, and the
damage was only SGD50-ish.
Lastly, Baby invited his colleagues - A & C over to our place for an early Christmas lunch gathering. We did a simple gift exchange over the meal. We were glad that they enjoyed the simple meal that Baby had specially prepared for them! Thanks for coming and thanks A for her lovely house-warming gift!
I
end my post with my Christmas gift which I received from Boss D, thanks ya!
