[France Summer Vacation] Day 05: A day trip to Versailles Château + Lunch at Chez Lazare
We had a quick and early breakfast before taking the RER Line C to Versailles Château – Rive Gauche , followed by a 10-minute walk to the palace. It is located 20km from the main city of Paris, which took us approximately 45-60mins to reach. As expected, the line was incredibly long, so pre-purchase or reservation of tickets in advance online in conjunction with the museum pass is recommended! Our museum passes did not let us skip the security line, but as a museum pass holder, we were given a priority access security line though. The Palace of Versailles is still one of the most-visited attractions in Paris. The Palace offers an incredible insight into French history, illuminating the lavish and ostentatious lives the former monarchs used to live. The Palace of Versailles is one of my highlight tours in Paris. It is definitely worth a visit, as we learnt a lot about French history. No visit to Paris would be complete without seeing the Palace of Versailles with your own eyes! T
