A few days ago, I went to the preview screening of the film  'Buddy Cops', which premiered on the 21st April 2016 . Thanks to Clover Films , I was able to get this lovely invite, and watch this hilarious and entertaining movie which served as an antidote for my workload pressure.   This movie is produced by Eric Tsang , and it also features other stars' appearances such as Kate Tsui, Jordan Chan and veteran star, Stanley Fung .         The movie is about a rookie cop, Fei (starring Bosco Wong) and Johnny (played by King Kong) who are at loggerheads and they simply can't stand each other at work. I have always loved to watch Hong Kong TVB dramas and serials since I am a teenager, and I remembered being hooked on a particular series named 澳门街 , which starred Julian Cheung and Charmaine Sheh . I am glad that the sequel was released on the big screen instead of being made into a new drama series.   Return of the Cuckoo is based on the well-loved HKG drama of the same name, which was broadcasted way back in 2000. The movie continues the story from where the drama left off.     I was glad to be invited by Clover Films to attend the Red Carpet Session as well as the Gala Premiere of the Return of the Cuckoo . I am a big fan of Hong Kong TVB dramas, and my favorite is Triumph in the Skies which was aired in 2003 and it has been cited as one of the best TVB serial dramas. The sequel, Triumph in the Skies II was aired two years back in 2013, and although we had waited for the sequel for 10 years, some of the main casts remained the same for the second instalment. However there were new additions of popular actors / actress such as Julian Cheung and Nancy Wu, but oh well, I still prefer the original series! Trio of us (Sweetie, Jas Jas and Yours Truly) met up on a random weekend for lunch. After our meal, we decided to shop around in the mall. To our surprise, we saw a large crowd gathered at the centre atrium of Plaza Singapura. Out of curiosity, we decided to kp-kp lol... OMG!! HK TVB stars are making their appearance at Plaza Singapura. We saw 4 TVB stars making their way on the red carpet to the centre-stage, and they were Ron Ng, Nancy Wu, Edwin Siu and Kenneth Ma.   Ron Ng was the first star to perform and his dressing pretty much resembled our friend TZ Ow. Hahahaha!! Nancy Wu sang a Chinese song, and I appreciated her effort though her Chinese wasn’t good. Edwin Siu has nice vocals.   And lastly, my everyone favorite’s idol, Kenneth Ma was on stage, I started to like him eversince his last role in TVB drama serial, On Call 36小时 .
