RKM’s Fri-date after work - we visited Shin Katsu which is located along Tanjong Pagar Road . After placing our orders, an 'Amuse Bouche' was given to us as a welcome dish. This chilled tomato soup was sweet, refreshing and perfectly prepared our palate for our Tonkatsu mains. I loved my Japanese Curry Rice , and the curry was leaning towards a darker roux, with a deeper roasted flavor instead of the standard sweet note. The gravy coated the rice well and paired tastily with the pork loin, which was thick and moist.   The portion was generous to the point where I felt grateful for the miso soup and cabbage which were flow to go along with our mains. The free-flow soup was equally remarkable. I revisited Sushiro for lunch for their Wave 2’s collaboration with Sanrio's favorite boy band, Hapidanbui.  During the event period, we ordered their exclusive menu items, and each item comes with a small Sanrio themed gift! After several visits to Nong Geng Ji , we find Hunan Cuisine quite palatable and suited to our taste! We decided to try their rival, Xiang Xiang Hunan Cuisine for a random dinner. Their menu looks rather similar, so we ordered our favorite usuals to do comparison. Oh well, there are hits and misses! I can’t really say which one I prefer, but for my Baby, he prefers Nong Geng Ji. I finally had the chance to dine at Cugini Trattoria Pizzeria , which is an Italian restaurant I’ve been meaning to try for the longest time ever. It is a very humble looking Italian restaurant located in Joo Chiat Place. I didn’t choose to sit outside, even though I really like the Mediterranean-style decor, whereby it gave a calm beach vibe setting… Because I need AC lolz.  ...

Both N & I had a mini birthday celebration together, as we are Jan Babies! We had our Omakase dinner date at Sen-ryo which is located at Suntec City . This eatery place offers high quality and legit Japanese fare. We began our omakase dinner with five seasonal appetisers, each offering a unique taste of the season's finest ingredients. Each bite was a delicate balance of flavours and textures, setting the stage for what was to come. The Sashimi course was delightful, and it showcased an impressive array of freshly imported seafood from Japan. I truly enjoyed the freshness of the ingredients which were coupled with an amazing presentation of the food by the chefs. Hotate with Truffle  Uni with Negitoro Handroll  - my personal favourite! I love my Omakase dinner at Sen-ryo . The cost was affordable and the food served was so FRESH! To conclude this exquisite meal, Mizu Shingen Mochi (Raindrop Cake) was served.
