I attended the Special Preview of 'Love off the Cuff' which will premier and open in local cinemas on the 4th of May 2017. Love off the Cuff is the third instalment of the 3-part romantic comedy, following Love in the Puff and Love in the Buff . The third edition of the love story explores the relationship between Cherie (Miriam Yeung) and Jimmy (Shawn Yue), who have been together for several years. Jimmy has already changed quite a lot from the very first time Cherie met him, but there are still flaw and some things which Cherie is unhappy about. An example is Jimmy spending money on unnecessary things, as this really irks Cherie because she feels they should be trying to save money together for their future.  This movie emphasises a lot about the downfall of the relationship due to Jimmy behaving like a kid and not giving Cherie the sense of security she wanted most. As Cherie is older than Jimmy in the show, sh...

I attended the Special Preview Screening of the 'Hidden Figures' which will be premiering on the 23rd of February 2017. The storyline is remarkable and is being based on a true life event makes it even more meaningful. The chemistry is impressive among the characters, and I enjoyed every single moment of the show. The acting is excellent and the casts were unbelievable top notch. I am glad that the story was told in such a tasteful way.   The setting is about the Cold War Era. Specifically, on the united States's race against Russia to be the first country to put a man in space. Three African-American women work as mathematicians in NASA's computer section in 1961, and they were known as 'Human Computers'. They are the brains behind one of the greatest operations in U.S history by calculating the trajectory launch of astronaut, John Glenn into orbit and guaranteeing his safe return. I was invited by Clover Films to attend the special preview screening of the 'Blair Witch' which premiered on the 15th of September 2016.   The original Blair Witch Project in 1999 was one of the horror movies which helped to spawn the popularity of the 'POV' and 'Found video' horror genre. It was brilliantly marketed via the Internet and was believed by many audiences that the fake documentary was real.   The Blair Witch follows the story of James (starring James Allen McCune) in search of his sister with his friends, Lisa (played by Callie Hernandez), Peter and Ashley (played by Brandon Scott and Corbin Reid). The gang is generally skeptical of the legend but when they meet up with Lane and Talia who are true believers of the legend, they insist on coming to the woods to track down the legend of the Blair witch. Baby rewarded me with a nice dinner for completing my morning run at GEWR 2015. He brought me to Orchard Central for a Thai fix!     We settled down at this new discovery ' Som Tam' , a restaurant which serves 'Fusion' Thai cuisine. In short, it is a lovely combination of East meeting West!   I love the setting of the restaurant as it gave me a cozy feeling. The whole eatery place bore a white cream theme.   We ordered Yum Woon Sen as our appetizer, and this was served in a mason jar. We poured in the salad sauce and mixed up by shaking the jar.   For myself, I had Sautéed Chicken Phad Thai , and it tasted pretty delicious. It was really good value for money too as the portion was very generous!   Baby ordered the  Tom Yum Koong which I absolutely loved ! 'Conjuring Spirit' is my very first Vietnamese movie and I went in to the theatre without any expectations, but it was surprisingly good!   The story is about an author, Lan (played by Phuong Mai) who decides to leave her cheating husband and moves out with her 5-year-old son, Bi. The pain of the betrayal keeps haunting her and she needs to be under medication in order to improve her mental condition.     She rents a very old apartment to start a new life with her son. Upon paying the rent, a music box was given to her, and which was then passed on to her son. Since then, many strange occurrences begin, and she believes that something evil is coming from the music box     Although, I couldn't understand a single word of what the characters were saying (need not worry, subtitles are available).
