I met up with Meryl & Chewy to experience the magic of Japanese overnight hair repair technology at the Moist Diane Ryokan Night-Time Tress Pop-Up , which is located at NEX ! The mock-up ‘Ryokan’ at Diane's pop-up was pretty well done! I loved the futon installation and the onsen-like ball bit with prizes. The design of this space definitely brought me back to my experience at a traditional Japanese inn. At the pop up, we played some interactive AR games, as well as customizing our own scented sachets and collected their latest haircare products. I recently attended the DailyVanity's 10th Anniversary  Celebration Event at International Plaza . To celebrate their anniversary, they held a collaborative event with The Sustainability Project where invitees could participate in a L ip Balm and Lotion Bar Making Workshop !  We were treated to a scrumptious buffet before the workshop kicked off! All the ingredients and equipment/tools that were needed for the workshop were provided! We started off by melting some of the ingredients. Our Lotion Bars were completed! We poured the melted products into the molds and added our favorite essential oil fragrances. Take note! These were lip balms and not white chocolates! As mentioned before on my previous post, both Tracy and I attended the 'Her World x Palais Renaissance Beauty Playground' event which was held at the Palais Renaissance. We were glad to be given the opportunity try out the ‘Elite Eyes Treatment’ by Prive Aesthetics , and I had a complete Eye-Rejuvenating experience! ‘Elite Eyes' is a non-invasive lifting treatment for the delicate eye area to achieve a more youthful complexion and to improve skin texture. The treatment uses a combination of radiofrequency energy, ultrasound and skin cooling to emit heat its energy to the deeper layers of my skin. It tightens the skin and stimulates collagen production. I experienced a warm sensation during the session when the device delivered its energy to the deeper layers of the skin. I am really grateful that I got the opportunity to attend the movie preview screening of 'The Lingering'. On the eve of Chinese New Year, Qingyi and her son Dawa, awaited for husband/father Shizi's return from work. They are staying in a remote village, while the husband works in the town a fair distance away. Unfortunately, Shizi never comes home. Dawa starts seeing a strange apparition, which Qingyi cannot see. In the meantime, Qingyi leaves the boy with her neighbour in order to travel to the  village committee building, which has the only telephone that will allow her to contact her husband's workplace. Unfortunately, she winds up hearing that a terrible accident has occurred at the factory, and her husband is no more. The story then shifts to 30 years later, where  Dawa has grown up and shifted away from the village. He hears about his mother's death and returns to the village to handle the necessary funeral arrangements and other issues...

A couple of weeks ago, Tracy extended her invite to me to attend 'The Science Behind Beauty' Workshop and it was held at the Uber Aesthetics Clinic which has its location at MyVillage , Serangoon Gardens . During the workshop, we were introduced to various treatments which are available at the clinic.   We started off the session with Nose Threading , and it is one of the most popular non-surgical procedures with minimal downtime. This procedure is commonly known as 'lunch time' nose lift, and it only uses ultra-thin threads to be injected into the nose area, in order to achieve a sharper and more defined nasal bridge.
