I LOVE WEEKENDS!       I met up with Chewy and Sweetie to spend our nostalgic sat-date at THE 50 CENT FEST at Chinatown Food Street . The crowd was over-whelming, and I was surprised to see many locals and tourists showing their supports to this food festival.     Upon entering the premises, we were transported back into the past, way back in the 1950s where one could find local eats as low as 50 cents! The food fest featured more than 30 traditional hawker dishes that included rare yesteryear dishes, such as Rickshaw Noodles, Ice Balls and Kok Kok Mee. The event aimed to endear itself to the old saying of 'The 50-CENT is bigger than a bull-cart wheel!'     Some dishes cost 50cents while some were charged at SGD1-SGD1.50, and the only dish that cost SGD2 was the Chilli Crab! The prices during the event depended on what type of food and quantity of each unique food that was offer. Good news for all Marathon lovers and Team Relay Race lovers, as Mizuno is introducing their first fully -fledged Ekiden race in Singapore, and they are targeting at least 5,000 participants. This inaugural race will be held on the  18 July 2015 at The Meadow, Gardens by the Bay .     The Mizuno Ekiden 2015 focuses on Japanese values such as teamwork, performance and perseverance, and it will showcase the concept of relay running that has stemmed from Japan and has been incredibly popular since its inception. Ekiden is a term referring to a long-distance relay running race in the Japanese culture. I love eating Bak Zhang , and Nonya dumplings are my love!! Happy belated Dumpling Festival (:     Ruiting got me some gifts during her trip to Korea a few months back... Thanks so much, babe!! I love them all...     My colleague, Wendy got me a gift back from her trip to Australia... It was a nail clipper featuring Sydney Opera House and Darling Harbour.       Baby and I went to some new food haunts together over the weekends, and we are always happy to try out new food items or new food joints. We settled ourselves at Eat at Taipei which is located at Chinatown Point and Sheng Kee Hong Kong Dessert at Changi City Point.   I am looking forward to watch the second installment of Despicable Me 2 in cinemas...       I was blessed with a nice brunch from Baby :) A nice home-cooked meal was rendered to me from him with love....   All the best to you, Hpilit...
