KFC Singapore celebrated their 45th year in Singapore by having a KFC-themed multi-sensory installation over a 5 day period in July. The installation was located at Vivocity, whereby entry was free. However, visitors were required to obtain queue numbers prior entering. A big shout-out to JSL for queuing at the installation in the morning to get the queue numbers for us to enter in the afternoon. Every visitor was offered a chance at the KFC themed Gachapon machine to win enamel pins, stickers, or even KFC food vouchers to redeem menu items that are currently unavailable, such as the Zinger Double Down. There was a kitchen section for us to take a peek on how the famous fried chicken is prepared in a KFC restaurant. Thanks to my friends who joined me to this event. Both Baby and I made a trip down to the plant nursery which is located near Khatib. We picked up 2 potted plants from the nursery. Asparagus Umbellatus and Rhopaloblaste (Java Palm). OM! My balcony has slowly become a mini garden. We love the greenery and it lifts up our mood too! I brought Baby to  Canton Paradise for a Sunday brunch on the last day of October. We settled at  Marina Bay Sands (MBS) outlet, as it  serves quality dim sum.  We were lucky to get a seat without any advance reservation after a short wait of 10 minutes. We started off with  Boat Style Congee , and I loved the consistency of the Cantonese styled Congee. It looked velvety smooth and had a silky texture. I savored every bit of it! The Chee Cheong Fun with Char Siew , BBQ bun and Steamed Spare Ribs with Yam were our dim sum staples. On the eve of New Year’s Eve, EC arranged a drinking session at the  Grapevine Café Bar & Restaurant which is located at Guillemard Road. I like the vibes that the premises offered.   Apart from whiskey drinking, we also have pizza, satay and some bar bites such as spam fries, spring rolls, chicken nuggets, onion rings, French fries and fried chicken skin.   Thanks for company, as I enjoyed myself very much! The Covid-19 travel restrictions that have been implemented for our safety has ruined many holiday plans for last year and perhaps even for the next 1-2 years. Baby brought me to Jurong Lake Gardens’ Festival of Lights , and there were 28 large-scale lantern displays of country landmarks (‘It’s A Small World’)  as well as lucky zodiac signs.
