HAPPY LUNAR NEW YEAR!!   I had a simple yet harmonious reunion dinner on the eve of CNY at the Hey Kee Restaurant , which is located at the old Singapore Badminton Hall with Mum V, Baby Hubby, Bro Kenneth and his wifey.   We kicked things off with the Abalone Yusheng , a familiar ritual done well. The Prosperity Pen Cai was the natural centrepiece. Layered with premium ingredients, each scoop captured the essence of the Chinese New Year atmosphere. The Steamed Turbot with Superior Soy Sauce - the simplest preparations are the most satisfying.   I loved the Lotus Leaf Rice with Eight Treasures very much. 捞鱼生 is essential during the CNY period, as we Chinese believe that tossing of Yu Sheng will bring good luck for the coming New Year.   Every year, like before, Baby needs to go back to KL, M'sia to visit his relatives, and therefore, we had our mini reunion celebration before he left Singapore on the CNY Eve. On the 2nd day of CNY, I met up with Yongwei and Elizabeth for dinner at Junction 8, and we settled for Ambush, one of the restaurants which were opened on the second day of CNY, for our mini CNY gathering. We had an enjoyable chat time and I treasure these fun-loving and spontaneous friends of mine as this meet-up was arranged at the last minute!   I went back to work on the 3 rd day of CNY, so my colleagues and I arranged a CNY gathering dinner at Golden Mile Complex for an awesome Thai dinner after our work.   CNY visiting continues for RKM, as we drove up to Subang Jaya last Friday...   I re-visited Jin Xuan Hong Kong Dim Sum Restaurant as requested by Baby, and we waited 5-10mins for our table.
