HÜBSCH JESS BABY

A couple of weeks ago, I brought Baby to ToriYard which is located at the popular public park, Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park to celebrate his Birthday.   I am glad that Baby loves the place that I picked for him for his mini birthday celebration, and and he found the cozy setting and lush greenery environment quite peaceful.       Baby ordered a bottle of Sapporo Beer to go along with his meal, while I maintained my drink as Hot Ocha !       Dining at Toriyard means you’ll be able to get a wide selection of  Yakitori , ranging from chicken to seafood. Each item was grilled to perfection over special charcoal that the restaurant imports directly from Japan.   My favorite item of all the dishes was the 'Tsukune' (Chicken Meatball),  which comes with an onsen egg and teriyaki sauce. Sunday Dim Sum brunch as usual with Baby and Mommy Vi, and this time we went to Black Society Restaurant at VivoCity!  This was my first visit to this restaurant but the second time for both Baby and Mommy Vi. We began our meal with their favorite appetiter, Deep-fried Fish Skin . They tasted light, crispy and addictive. We ordered the Boat Styled Porridge , but l've had better as I felt it tasted kinda bland.   I loved the tasty Braised Chicken Feet with Beancurd Skin very much, and it was really different from the ones we normally had from other places! I enjoyed the Siew Mai topped with Fresh Prawn very much. We had Steamed Pork Spare Ribs with Cellophane Noodles , and it tasted pretty good. It was one of my favorite items out of the eatery that we had ordered! We ordered the Scallops with Asparagus Rice Roll , and it tasted pretty decent. The damage was SGD87-ish, and thanks Mommy Vi for the lovely treat! ...

My write-up on Kyushu continues!   This post will be a short post, as we spent most of our time shopping in the City of Kumamoto , as the place was unfortunately recovering from the powerful earthquake that struck it back in 2016. Most of the major iconic places of interest such as Kumamoto Castle are still closed to the public, due to the repairs being done due to the serious damage by the earthquake.   Kumamoto is super accessible from Fukuoka, as it tookless than 45 minutes of travelling on the Shinkansen train from Hakata station! We made use of our prepaid Japan Rail 'Kyushu Pass' to enjoy this ride!      We were welcomed by the sight of a giant 'Kumamon' head! Kumamon is the mascot of Kumamoto prefecture, and is a very cute black bear!
