Happy Weekends! It may be pretty difficult to find an affordable yet delicious Cantonese-style Peking duck in Singapore. On a random weekend, I went to Kai Duck, by Kai Garden , which is located at Ngee Ann City for lunch. It serves awesome Cantonese-style Peking duck and dim sum at affordable prices. The Sliced Peking Duck with Crackers tasted pretty unique as it was a stack of layers of crackers, vegetables and sliced Peking duck skin in homemade sauce. I love the thin and crispy duck skin, as well as the special sauce which was prepared from scratch! We had Deep-fried Yam and Pumpkin, and I  love the natural sweetness from the pumpkin! The Pan-fried Carrot Cake was shaped like a pizza. It is a modern take on the classic dim sum dish. It is filled with lots of turnip, and  pan fried to a maximum crisp on the outside, yet remained soft on the inside. We had a nice lunch and the damage was pleasant too. Thanks Baby for the meal! I started to take days off from work in order to clear my annual leave this year. I met up with R, S and E to have our girls’ afternoon day out. We went for an afternoon tea at Flipper’s which is located at Ngee Ann City. Upon reaching the premises, we were greeted by bright yellow neon signs. The eatery place was pretty spacious as it was decked out in yellow, grey and wood furnishings. Flipper’s  offers signature soufflé pancakes in sweet and savory options. All the pancakes at Flipper’s are crafted with fine ingredients. No Japanese café visit is complete without Matcha (green tea) desserts, so I ordered the  Kiseki Pancake Matcha . The pancakes are served with a parade of toppings: azuki bean paste, Matcha whipped cream, fresh cream, and topped with Matcha powders.   The texture and flavor of the soufflé pancakes are light, which felt like a chiffon cloud! There is a hint of earthy bitterness that makes the Matcha so distinct.  Chocolate fans...

Everyone knows that I love earrings and I will wear pretty earrings whenever I'm headed out from home. My earrings of the day on my lovely weekend which were picked up from the  Turtle Lifestyle Store, Jewel Changi Airport ! It has been about half a year since we moved out from our Woodlands residence. On a random Sunday we drove back to Sembawang to have our favorite cuisine at our favorite food haunt -  JJ Thai Cuisine . We ordered our usual favorite such as  Homemade Thai Prawn Cake, Seafood Tom Yum (Thick Version), Fried Olive Rice and Phad Thai.  The damage was SGD40, and we will definitely be back again… It has been a long hiatus since I visited Suntec City.  The 2 main reasons why I've stopped visiting Suntec City is because the company i work for has shifted to another location at Gateway back in April, and also because of the WFH program which was implemented since May. There are now many new food establishments which have now popped up at Suntec C...
