[random] Dim Sum Brunch at Canton Paradise + Dinner at Uya Unagi

Baby and I took a day off from work to spend some quality time together, and we went to Canton Paradise for Dim Sum Brunch which is located at Marina Bay Sands (MBS). We love this eatery place as it serves quality dim sum. Seats are available immediately upon reaching the premise because it was a weekday!

As usual, we started off with Boat Style Congee, and we loved this Cantonese styled Congee very much.

The Chee Cheong Fun with Char Siew was one of our dim sum staples.

The damage was pretty hefty, but thanks Baby for the brunch!

We made our way back to Uya Unagi Singapore Restaurant (Uya 四代目菊川) which is located at Wheelock Place for our dinner! We felt a strong Zen-like atmosphere once we stepped in the eatery place, as it incorporates a traditional Japanese restaurant design with a contemporary touch.

The Hitsumabushi style of serving eel is the restaurant's signature way, which provides for three or more ways to consume the Unagi. Baby had the Signature Hitsumabushi – chopped up eel served with condiments, broth, soup and pickles.

I had the Classic Unagi Rice Bowl!

Lastly, we added Tempura Moriawase as our side to go along with our main course.

We enjoyed the premium unagi by Uya Unagi Singapore Restaurant. Oh well, the enjoyment of premium unagi comes with a price tag. The damage for two was SGD105-ish. We know that we will still be back again despite it's hefty price tag, as the quality grilled Unagi compensated for the damage we paid!

One of the perks of going back to office is to catch up with my office lunch mates during lunch as well as to see other colleagues that I've not met in a while! We had our lunch at Box n Sticks which is located around Haji Lane, and it is a down-to-earth Izakaya that offers a wide array of authentic, home-styled Japanese nosh ranging from bar bites, sushi, skewers and donburis.

I ordered a lunch set that cost me SGD10.90, and it included 2 sides and a drink. It was definitely a wallet-friendly lunch set and it tasted pretty decent too!

I end my photos with a group photo taken at Marina Bay Sands and I took some photos of the beautiful Christmas decoration displays in the mall too!
