[Hong Kong May Day Vacation] Day 03/04: Exploring around the city + Victoria Peak
Breakfast in Hong Kong is always worth waking up for. On our 3rd day in Hong Kong, we went to a classic Hong Kong style café for breakfast. We took the MTR to Wan Chai MTR, and walked about 10 min walk to Capital Café 華星冰室, sometimes known as Chrisly Café. The café offers similar meal sets to the notorious but famous café, Australian Dairy Company.
The breakfast arrived within minutes of ordering, so I must applaud their speed!
I had the breakfast set - Instant Noodles (Gong Zai Mee) with Pork Sausage and 2 slices of Luncheon Meat, as well as a cup of Hong Kong Style Milk Tea.
The Scrambled Eggs were excellent, and I loved the creamy & fluffy texture as it was fried with Hokkaido Milk.
The highlight was the Scrambled Egg Toast with Black Truffle, and every bite felt like a blessing!
We were surprised by the staff, as they were pretty patient and friendly as compared to other Cha Chaan Tengs in Hong Kong. Come here if you prefer not to suffer the wrath of the staff of the Australian Dairy Company! I definitely prefer visiting the Capital Café in Wan Chai.
No trip to Hong Kong is complete without at least visiting Victoria Peak once! Although it is rather touristy, no one can deny that the place has a magnificent view and is quite the beautiful attraction. I have actually been to Victoria Peak with my family and my other travel mates before, but I decided to go there again with my friends, especially since this was their first time to Hong Kong.
We love the cooling weather when we reached the top of the peak. At the top, one will be rewarded with a panoramic view of Hong Kong's skyline as well as of Victoria Harbour!
We went to The Peak Galleria for a free-entry Observation Deck to catch a glimpse of Hong Kong's amazing skyline.
To conclude our last dinner in Hong Kong, Baby booked a table at Yung Kee Restaurant which is located at Wellington Street in Central, Hong Kong. It once held a 1 Michelin Star way back in 2009.
They are well-known for its Roasted Goose, and we were only allowed to order one plate per table. Each piece of the roast goose meat was very succulent and juicy.
After our dinner, we headed down to Lan Kwai Fong for a drink, as chilling out is a MUST when I am in Hong Kong. It is a well-known party location in Hong Kong with loads of nightclubs and bars. It used to be a place full of hawkers way back during the Second World War but now it is a happening place for party-goers and diners for both tourists and the locals!
On the last day, while our friends went for McDonald’s breakfast, both Baby and I took a train ride to Wan Chai to 龍點心 (Lung Dim Sum) which we chanced upon.
We were attracted by the colorful bright lights, and the eatery place wasn't too big but seating was pretty spacious.
We ordered a couple of dim sum platters to sample a bit of everything, I love the Lung Siu Mai Platter best!
The other one was the Premium Dim Sum Combo. The Salted Egg Cuttlefish Siu Mai was da bomb which had a mini flag on a toothpick stuck on it as a warning of the salted egg sauce leaking out. It went with the filling.
The packed street market was filled with toy shops that sold a lot of Japanese Toys as well as a bit of everything. I noticed that the pricing was cheaper than those found in department stores. There
are also a few stalls selling affordable clothes and souvenirs
for keep-sake!

times fly by so fast!! I took the Airport Express ride back to airport from
Hong Kong Station.
We had our lunch at the airport before boarding the plane back
to Singapore.
That concluded my 4D3N trip to Hong Kong, but I am quite certain I will return soon!
