On a random Sunday, we decided to go and visit JB, Malaysia in order to take advantage of the currency exchange rate! Although the exchange rate for MYR is now slightly lesser than 3 against Singapore dollars, it is still a pretty good rate. Upon clearing the customs, we drove to Bukit Indah for lunch, and we settled at Tea Garden . Baby had Ipoh Hor Fun , while I had Braised Duck Rice . We shared Steamed Yam Cake and Beancurd Roll . The damage was pretty decent at around RM40+ (including drinks). We walked around Aeon Mall to purchase mooncakes for our parents. Before we ended our day, we had an early dinner at Sushi Mentai which is also located at Bukit Indah. The sushi on the conveying belt was charged as per the colored plates used (yellow plate at RM1.80 ; red plate at RM2.80) We had a filling meal and the damage was pleasant to our pocket at around RM60-ish. An annual event, the Singapore Toy, Game & Comic Convention (STGCC)  took place this year at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre on the 10-11 of September 2016. It attracted a massive crowd of locals as well as regional fans over the weekend it was held.     This yearly convention has never failed to bring the latest and coolest premium toys, games, anime and cos-playing showcases/displays to all the avid fans in Singapore. I was invited by Clover Films to attend the special preview screening of the 'Blair Witch' which premiered on the 15th of September 2016.   The original Blair Witch Project in 1999 was one of the horror movies which helped to spawn the popularity of the 'POV' and 'Found video' horror genre. It was brilliantly marketed via the Internet and was believed by many audiences that the fake documentary was real.   The Blair Witch follows the story of James (starring James Allen McCune) in search of his sister with his friends, Lisa (played by Callie Hernandez), Peter and Ashley (played by Brandon Scott and Corbin Reid). The gang is generally skeptical of the legend but when they meet up with Lane and Talia who are true believers of the legend, they insist on coming to the woods to track down the legend of the Blair witch. I was lucky enough to be invited to attend a special preview of  'Operation Chromite', which was premiered on the 15th of September 2016. This movie is a highly anticipated Korean War movie which was released in South Korea on the day of the 63rd Anniversary of the Armistice Agreement. 'Operation Chromite' is a tribute to the many war heroes who sacrificed themselves to achieve peace and freedom for their motherland.  This Korean movie features top Hollywood actor, Liam Neeson, who plays the role of General Douglas MacArthur , and this gave added attention to the film internationally. Many South Korean know this historical figure was the one who led the United Nation Forces to fight against communism during the Korean war in the 1950s.
