My first Mizuno Women's Run 2019

Image
I did my first run this year! I missed out on the Herbalife Nutrition Marina Run 2019 in February due to my Hong Kong trip, but however, I am very glad that I completed the Mizuno Women's Run 2019 . In line with Mizuno’s new brand slogan - ‘Reach Beyond’. Mizuno wants to achieve a stronger connection with people and help them to lead a richer lifestyle.       The Mizuno Women's Run 2019 celebrates women from all walks of life, and was conceived to encourage women of all ages to get active through running. In 2019, they aim to ' Reach Beyond'.  It expresses Mizuno’s desire to support anyone who wishes to not only achieve their goals but to surpass them, whether they are serious athletes or just individuals who believe in the value of sport. There were 2 categories – a 2km Fun Walk/Jog, or a 5km Non-Competitive Run.    I joined the 5km Non-Competitive Run, and the run was held at Clarke Quay Central . The run was flagged off at 7.3...

[Little Sheep Hot Pot] Value Weekday Set Lunch

Image
An hour's lunch break is naturally precious! Once in a while, many of us treasure it by spending time to enjoy a nice meal in an air-conditioned restaurant rather than to fight for seats at a foodcourt, or sweating it out at a stuffy coffeeshop. This is definitely a welcome change! Thanks so much for the invitation! Previously, I attended their opening launch , and now I’m back again at the Little Sheep Hot Pot for their Value Weekday Set Lunch . Each 3-tier set comes with a free drink, and there is a choice of meat to choose from - Signature Lamb, USA Beef or Kurobuta Pork slices . Not to forget, the set includes their homemade noodles too. Little Sheep Hot Pot is known for their House Original White Soup base . It tasted amazingly delicious, and was made from 36 different spices. The broth is filled with an assortment of fresh ingredients such as goji berries, jujubes, black cardamon pod, ginseng and herbs. I enjoyed every bit of the soup and it tasted e...

[foodies' corner] All about food!

Recently, I went to Osaka Ohsho during my lunch break with my lunch-mates, and the restaurant is located at Raffles City Shopping Centre ! I had my favorite Scallop Okowa Rice with Gyoza Set . In my personal opinion, Osaka Ohsho serves the best Gyoza in town, as each piece tasted divine.   Popular award-winning chicken rice from Bangkok, Go-Ang Pratunam has finally opened up in Singapore! The brand has been established for over 50 years in Thailand.   This Michelin Bib Gourmand awardee Go-Ang Pratunam Chicken Rice is indeed like our Singaporean version of Hainanese chicken rice, and the only difference I found was the chilli dip. Instead of the familiar blend of orange chilli sauce and ginger sauce, theirs is a mixture of blended dark soya sauce, vinegar, cut ginger and green chillies.      Baby enjoyed the Red Curry Chap Chye . The curry gravy went pretty well with our chicken rice too.    I enjoyed the Chai Poh ...

[beauty event] Elite Eyes Treatment by Prive Aesthetics + FANCL BEAUTYCLASS

Image
As mentioned before on my previous post, both Tracy and I attended the 'Her World x Palais Renaissance Beauty Playground' event which was held at the Palais Renaissance. We were glad to be given the opportunity try out the ‘Elite Eyes Treatment’ by Prive Aesthetics , and I had a complete Eye-Rejuvenating experience! ‘Elite Eyes' is a non-invasive lifting treatment for the delicate eye area to achieve a more youthful complexion and to improve skin texture. The treatment uses a combination of radiofrequency energy, ultrasound and skin cooling to emit heat its energy to the deeper layers of my skin. It tightens the skin and stimulates collagen production. I experienced a warm sensation during the session when the device delivered its energy to the deeper layers of the skin. My eye areas now seem to be suppler and uplifting. Lastly, thanks Prive Aesthetic for the pampering treat!  I was happy to be selected to attend the FANCL’s NO PRESERVATI...

[anniversary celebration] The Working Capitol turns 4

Image
The Working Capitol (TWC ) entered Singapore’s commercial scene in 2015, where co-working wasn’t regarded as a progressive lifestyle choice so much as it was a necessity for start-ups to offset Singapore’s premium rental.    The TWC offers a different experience of a start-up shared office environment, as it houses a plethora of facilities including a large pantry, beer garden, café, meeting rooms, and a 200-capacity events hall.     We are invited to be a part of the celebratory of TWC’s 4th Anniversary . TWC is a co-working office that is transformed from heritage historic shophouse in Chinatown.     To mark their 4th birthday, TWC has transformed their event space, The Commons into a 1920s theme sparkling gala. They have set up their own Kachang Puteh Bar to bring back the memories of our yester-years.            Bula, a drinking pub area which is located ...
