It's the Year of the Rat! Check out the Rat-themed Street Light-Up Decor, which has illuminated Chinatown this year. These lanterns include a visual storytelling of the Chinese Zodiac race! There is also an enhanced celebration of Cantonese culture in Chinatown, with up-sized crowd favourites to welcome in a new prosperous new year!       I attended the Chinatown Chinese New Year Celebrations 2020 which was organised by the Kreta Ayer – Kim Seng Citizens’ Consultative Committee (KA-KS CCC) and supported by the Singapore Tourism Board with Meryl. The Official Light-Up and Opening Ceremony were graced by Madam Halimah Yacob, President of Singapore.     During the Chinatown Chinese New Year Celebrations 2020 , there were high-spirited isplays which consisted of a Chinese Ethnic Dance, Chinese Orchestra music, and Cantonese Opera performances! The ceremony ended with rousing firecrackers and fireworks displays to usher in the New Year!...

All thanks to Partipost and The Bubble Tea Factory , I got to re-visit The Bubble Tea Factory showcase/event again with Shuqing! Thanks so much for the invite, as it is a fun and trippy utopic Insta-wonderland that warrants multiple visits!   It spans over 7,000 square feet, and the whimsical experiential pop-up has 10 multi-sensory rooms that brim with cute instagrammable installations. Everything we love about BBT has come to life, upsized!   We had a great time catching up with one another! Do enjoy our random photos that were taken at this event!   Needless to say, the ‘pearl pit’ is my favorite attraction! You can soak in all this bubble tea goodness without having to worry about the calories! Ever wondered what it would be like to be surrounded by a copious amount of bubble tea pearls? Baby brought me and Mom Vi for our yearly New Year's dinner, and this time we went to at  Kai Garden Restaurant which is located at Marina Square .   Kai Garden Restaurant is located on the third level of the shopping mall, and it serves fine Cantonese fare.     An excellent start to our dinner was Crispy Peking Duck, and it is one of the signature dishes at Kai Garden . It is served with rice crackers and 5 unique sauces and wraps. The wraps include original, pumpkin, beetroot, bamboo charcoal and spinach for an added twist.   The sauce options include traditional Hoi Sin sauce, seafood sauce (crab & prawn), black pepper, sesame and sweet sauce. For me personally, I personally enjoy my Peking duck the traditional way with hoisin sauce. On the eve of Christmas Eve, my dept organised a singing session after work. We did our Christmas gifts exchange at the gathering too! We had a quick dinner at Jollibee, Suntec City then we headed up to K Star , which is also located at Suntec City ! The Karaoke is unique because you can choose from themed rooms, and on this occasion we requested for a 'Unicorn' themed room! My Santa was Jenny, and I was Ivy’s Santa. I took photo with them respectively. We had fun with the girls, do arrange more of these next time!  I met up with Tracy, Chewy and Sweetie to attend the ENCE Purple Christmas Party !
