Claire's birthday celebration at 2fifteen Kitchen

Claire invited a handful of bloggers (including me) to her 23rd birthday celebration at 2fifteen Kitchen couple weeks ago. It is located at Rochester Mall, which is a short distance away from Buona Vista MRT Station. Rochester Mall is a new mall located at Rochester Drive, and do follow the sign-board as it only accessible from its own entrance.

I love the elegant setting and the ambiance is perfect for a romantic dinner and this will impress your date.

I was glad to be part of Claire’s birthday celebration. She was so sweet to make the placards for each of her invited guests.

I spotted my name, and I sat beside Shu Qing and James Aw.

The teams at 2fifteen Kitchen were so kind to prepare us the read-out menu for the night. It looked like a scroll, and it’s time to un-scroll it to see what we were having during the birthday dinner.

The dinner menu is specially prepared by Kenny Yeo, who has helmed renowned restaurants in Singapore and Taipei including a 3-star Michelin hotel in France. 2fifteen Kitchen uses only the finest ingredients to prepare their dishes for their guests’ indulgence.

There was a photo corner where our photos can be printed out instantly...

Claire prepared us some bite-sized Lava Cakes from Smolder, which is located at China Square Food Centre. The cakes were meant for us to nibble while waiting for the rest to reach. She is a good host, indeed!  Each box has 3 different flavors, and the cakes are prepared daily using only premium ingredients and no preservatives.

I tried Signature Dark Chocolate, White Chocolate Raspberry, White Chocolate Pistachio and White Chocolate Lemon.

I love the White Chocolate Pistachio best!

We were served some bread as the starter. The bread tasted really good with the olive oil and the vinegar, and the butter was nicely cut into little rectangular shapes with zigzag-ged design.

The first dish from the 5-course dinner for the night, Hot seared Duo Watermelon with Foie Gras, Basil Oil and Feta Cheese

I was surprised by generous portion served. The fruits and cheese were cut into cubes and they went well with the Foie Gras.

Carrot Puree soup with Clam jus.

The clam paste was cold while the carrot puree was hot, and it was a nice blend when the hot and cold mix together and it bears an unique creation. This is my first time trying, and I found it tasted pretty weird to me, but it was quite tasty on the whole.

 Prawn Capellini with Aromatic Oil

This was my favorite dish of the night apart from the Foie Gras. The prawn was fresh and juicy, and the noodles were really tasty. This dish has REALLY left me asking for more.

Confit of Salmon Roulade with Soft Herbs, Wild Rice, Hazelnut Oil and Poultry jus

The salmon looked raw to me at first sight. But it was cooked. It tasted awesomely good as it was cooked using low temperature for long hours to lock the moisture of the salmon, and that explained why the fish meat was so juicy and it simply melt inside my mouth.

Lastly, the trio dessert platter was served to round up our meal, and we had Bean-curd Cheesecake, Oven-baked Granny Smith Green Apples with Vanilla Ice cream and a Cherry Tart with Pistachio Nuts.

While having our dessert, we played some games. We had fun mingling with one another...

2fifteen Kitchen prepared the birthday cake for Claire as well... They offered tip top service for their guests, two thumbs up for them.

An extraordinary candle (it sparkles!) lit up the birthday celebration mood. A memorable and a special birthday party indeed.

A slice of tastiness with my favorite hazelnut!! The cake was cut into slices by the kitchen team.

Thanks for inviting me... Happy Birthday cutiepie, Claire!!

Once the party was over, Sweetie and I took a photo with the balloons...

Claire brought neon light-sticks and sparklers for the after dinner play-time... Everyone is a child at heart, as we had fun playing the nostalgic game. We felt like children once again... Hahaha!!

After finishing all the sparklers, William came up with a sweet form of appreciation to show our blessing to her, we used the neon light-sticks to spell her name with a sweet ending shoutout: WE LOVE CLAIRE!!
William made a video for the entire night out with Claire which included the entire dinner...

We had a delightful dinner at 2fifteen Kitchen. The dinner was awesome and we savored every bit of it. Once again, thanks for the kind hospitality!!
