[Food Review] Kallang Lala Claypot + Shun De Seafood Porridge Claypot

Singaporeans love to travel to Johor Bahru (JB) for a delicious food hunt. I am a food lover, and I love hunting for delicious food. If you are like me, looking out for nice food yet hate the causeway jam, then we are both in for a treat, as we can now find famous Claypot Lala from JB at Kallang area!

Indulge in their Jumbo LaLa Hotpot, as it is a must-try for all seafood enthusiasts! This eatery offers a wide selection of hotpot ingredients to go with the claypot lala at an affordable price, and will definitely leave you spoilt for choice!

They offer self-service soup refills on the house, and they also provide a free flow of Fried Garlic and Hua Diao Wine for us to enhance the soup better!

Remember to help yourselves to their various sauces at the condiments area which were free flow and non-chargeable!

The Specialty Broth is served on a charcoal stove with a generous portion of lala a.k.a clams.

I am glad to enjoy delicious Charcoal Claypot Lala Steamboat without the hassle of travelling across the causeway.

Kallang Claypot LaLa is definitely worth a visit to try out their Charcoal Claypot Lala, as I loved the flavourful broth, and they are as good as those across the causeway. It is a pleasure to enjoy good food at ease, and always remember time is money!

While Charcoal claypot hotpot is the trending food in Industrial Area right now, here I am at Soon Hong Eating House which is located at Woodlands Industrial Area. I came here to try out the newly opened Shun De Seafood Porridge Claypot.

Shun De Seafood Porridge Claypot offers a wide selection of pot-base such as Seafood Porridge Hotpot / Crazy Laksa Siham Pot / Golden Soup Fish Maw Chicken Pot Base / Pepper Pig’s Stomach Chicken Pot Base / Mala Tonkotsu Pot Base.

There are more than 50 hotpot ingredients in their refrigerators which even had Iberico Pork! The free flow and non-chargeable condiments are self-serviced at the station too. Diners can mix their own dipping sauce to go with their hotpot.

Without any further ado, let’s kick-start our Seafood Porridge Claypot. It comes with Tiger Prawns, Lala, Scallops and Black Pork Paste. The seafood broth had natural umami as well as a great sweetness from the seafood. The taste was further enhanced after we added in more ingredients that we took from the refrigerator!

The Porridge Hotpot is a concept that is almost like regular hotpot – when every ingredient was cooked, we poured the rice into the hotpot to make porridge hotpot! I felt that Hotpot in this manner is a healthier choice!

It was my first time trying out the Seafood Porridge Claypot! To me, it was a nostalgic and comforting meal! Each and every grain of white rice was simply stomach comforting!

Check out their August Promotion: $59 for Any Choice Pot + 6 Dishes! Do pop by Shun De Seafood Porridge Claypot today. Must be kiasu la, as it is the first-ever Charcoal Seafood Porridge Claypot in Singapore leh!
