[Subang Jaya, PJ Kuala Lumpur] My weekend getaway to Da:Men

We drove up to Subang Jaya, PJ Kuala Lumpur again for a weekend getaway. Upon reaching, we chanced upon a newly opened shopping mall in USJ. This lifestyle shopping mall is named 'Da:Men', and it is chockfull with greats shops and restaurants for a fantastic shopping/dining experience.

Da:Men is the literal translation of 'Big Door' in Mandarin, and one can summarise that the mall was named such in order to have 'Doors of Prosperity' feel. Although the mall is located on the outskirts of KL town, the shopping concept is fresh and innovative, and provides the nicest retail therapy and dining experience to patrons.

At KOMONOYA, everything is priced under the single amount of RM5.30!!! It is an emulation of what Daiso is, but the added bonus is that KOMONOYA offers different Japanese products as compared to Daiso.

Check out the huge 'LIVE LOUD' sign within the mall, which is exactly what the mall is trying to convey to shoppers!

I was surprised to see PasarBella, an artisan concept marketplace from our homeland, Singapore, as one of the tenants in Da:Men.

Da:Men offers a myriad of selection of dining selections, from Lifestyle Food Hall called THE CANTEEN which operates using the cashless paying system to AKIBA, the 1-stop Japanese Food Street Concept Restaurant.

I picked up some beauty items from the mall, and they were the 2-way compact powder from touchinSOL and Quick Easy Eyeliner from Canmake. Both items cost me RM60 (est. SGD20).

Complimentary 2 small tubes of Pure Dew Water Drop BB Cream from touchinSOL were given to me with purchase.

Before I headed back to Singapore on the Sunday, we settled our lunch at Nam Heong Ipoh at Da:Men.

We had a delightful lunch and with the amount of food we ordered, the damage was pleasantly affordable at RM45 (est SGD15).

I love the Glutinous Rice and Fried Prawn Fitter very much.

We headed back to Singapore straight after our lunch (hoping for no jam at both checkpoints *crossourfingers*)

I took some random photos at the highway, and I love my powerful Foresty.
