[Northwestern USA trip] Day 6 in Seattle/Portland - Mt Rainier National Park

It's our last day in Seattle! We were heading down to Portland next, after a quick breakfast at the Cherry Street Coffee House which is located at Belltown (about 5-7 mins walk from our apartment.)

This eatery place is a nice little gem in downtown Seattle. They serve excellent Bagels and i loved the cozy and chilled setting.


We checked out from our apartment and drove to Mount Rainier National Park which is located at the Southeast of Seattle.






No trip to Seattle would be complete without a trip to Mount Rainier. It is an active volcano covered in ice and snow nearly all year round.



  







I loved and enjoyed all the fresh clean air as well as the views of the waterfalls and other naturally beautiful landmarks such as river valleys and meadows.


There are many lookout points that offer amazing views of the landscape and wildlife in the park.



Seattle may be best known for the Space Needle, Pike Place Market and the Original Starbucks but there are still plenty of other things to do in and around the city. Note, Seattle gets more rain than many other areas of the country. 

If you are planning a trip to Seattle, do spend time exploring not only just Downtown Seattle. Do not miss out on the the outskirts of Seattle, as it definitely worth the time and visit! 


Next stop: Portland, the largest and most populous city in the U.S. state of Oregon. 



Baby drove about 2 hours to reach our hotel in Portland - The Inn at Northrup Station. It's an all-suite boutique hotel which I found quite colorful. The premises offers complimentary parking for in-house guests too! We were here for 2 nights stay, which cost about USD434 in total.


I loved the interior of the spacious apartment styled room which came complete with a full modern kitchenette and living room area. The room was clean and well equipped with the usual travel amenities.







It was already dinner time when we arrived at Portland. After checking into our hotel and unpacking some of our luggage, we went out to get some dinner.
