BBQ gathering at SUO + Dinner at Xin Yuan Ji + Tan Yu 探鱼

Due to the easing of the COVID-19 restrictions, the BBQ Pits at our Condo are opened for booking, and the pits are often full on weekends. Even though there are 4 pits in the premises and there are only 2 sessions for each pit per day, they are usually still full!

JJM organized a BBQ gathering, and he booked the second slot (5-10pm) and the pit we booked was the one nearest to our tower.

We enjoyed ourselves very much and the BBQ party was a success! Kudos to the Lee family who prepared most of the ingredients and brought them over, and also thanks to J, who did most of the cooking for us.

Alles Gut! Our gathering ended at 10pm. After seeing how much fun the BBQ session was, it gave me a morale booster and the enthusiasm to organize more BBQ gatherings in the future with my family, friends, and colleagues!

After more than half a year of hiatus, Baby and I finally headed down to town to have our dinner at Tan Yu , which is located at Somerset 313.

This time round, my bestie, Chewy joined us too! Both of us are not a fan of classic mala cuisine, so therefore, we ordered the Grilled Fish with Soy Sauce (a non-spicy version!) I was glad that Chewy preferred the non-spicy version as well. For our easy indulgence, we picked up fish fillets instead of a whole fish as we hate fish bones!

I enjoyed eating the Noodles with Garlic Oil, and it has become a ‘MUST-ORDER’ item in Tan Yu  for me! This time round, we ordered the Minced Garlic Oyster which was priced at SGD7.80. We also had the Lamb Kebabs Skewers and Grilled Eggplant, and they were perfectly grilled! Thanks Baby for the nice meal!

Finally brought my Baby to Xin Yuan Ji which is located at Tan Quee Lan Street for our Fri-date dinner after work. It is my favorite food haunt with my office lunch mates during lunch time. They serve excellent and affordable fish soup.

We each ordered a bowl of Sliced Fish Soup Bee Hoon, and shared a plate of Crispy Beancurd with Cai Poh as well as a Prawn Omelette. For my drink, I picked up a glass of 'Mama', which is a homemade combination of sour plum and lime.

The damage was pretty affordable, and nothings beats having a delightful dinner with my loved ones!

Recently, we started to go back to office on a regular basis, and I find that there are many foodstuffs in my refrigerator and cabinets which needs to be cleared before expiring!

On a random weekend, I prepared lunch for both Baby and myself. We had porridge with Steamed Braised Peanuts and Steamed Spare Ribs with Chilli Black Beans. It was a pretty casual meal for us! SIMPLE FOOD, SIMPLY GOOD!

Linda arranged for a dinner date with me, and I called upon Sweetie to join us at the meal gathering. We settled at the Aijsen Ramen which is located at Bugis Junction. We had a great time catching up with one another. and I look forward to our next meet up!
