MEDZS has always been well known for its unique Mediterranean cuisine and of course the ever popular Rainbow Cake! I was surprised to find out that they have recently launched Asian Kitchen Selections. The reason for the addiction of Asian flavors is to complete the whole dining experience of East and the West under one roof. I was glad to attend the food tasting of the newly launched Asian menu at MEDZS, Millenia Walk. We started our dinner with Truffle Fries and a glass of Melon Tea, a refreshing and healthy drink. We were introduced to some Chef’s Recommendations such as Braised Tiger Prawns in Superior Pumpkin Broth, Wok Fried Chilli Flower Crab and Seafood Mee Goreng. Food art makes having meals more interesting and fun, and little children love them very much, as do working adults such as myself! To do a decent piece of food art, you don't have to use expensive gadgets, and all that is required are some ordinary household items like scissors or knives.   I have a passion for food art, but I have no professional culinary training, so I did a humble food art using CP Foods, Japanese Classic Pork Sausages and Chicken Sandwich (cold cut ). Apart from using these 2 food products from CP Foods, I used them to represent the face and eyes. I also used sauces to do the drawing for the eye-brows and blushing of cheeks. Lastly, I used a small diced potato for the petite nose and crabmeat stick (thin slice) as the smiling mouth.   My little nephew, Hayden loves it so much, and he kept asking for more sausages. I believe most of us love meatballs from Swedish renowned one-stop furniture and household, IKEA . If there is a chance to eat free meatballs, I bet everybody will seize this rare opportunity. Oh well, one of Baby's good friends, Sean Padman joined the inaugural IKEA Meatball Cup 2014 which was organized by HOT91.3FM and of course IKEA , themselves.  We went down to  IKEA Tampines to cheer for him as he made it to the finals. The winner walked away with an  IKEA Gift Card worth SGD500  and a Meatball Cup Trophy !! To win the IKEA Meatball Cup, contestants had to finish 25 meatballs in 90 seconds! He didn't make it to the top 3, but nevertheless, he tried his best and we are still proud of him that he pull through the heats and got into the finals.
