Anton Amoncio's Cheesy Lamb Rack bested the entries of the other 3 finalists, and he was crowned as the champion of the Food Hero 2016. A big congrats to Chef Anton!
Chef Anton's love for travelling has allowed him to experience different cultures and heritage of the countries he has visited, which inspired him to always create unique recipes based on the destination. As a winner, he will join Scripps Network Interactive to host several programs shown on the Asian Food Channel (AFC) and The Food Network Channel.

[media invite] Morganfield's X The Entertainer App

I was excited to learn that The Entertainer App has been growing bigger over the years, and this app has successfully fulfilled my food cravings, as well as allowing me to cut down my expenses whenever I dine out.
This is a useful app for all the food lovers who are concerned about their budget. The Entertainer App provides great dining deals and helps to gives huge cost savings in the long run. It offers more than 800 BUY ONE GET ONE FREE DEALS to selected restaurants, spas, bars and attractions in Singapore. This app can be used for overseas, and as an example, quote: If you stay for 2 nights in any hotel which is listed as a participating merchant of The Entertainer App, you only pay for a night for 2 nights stay. Doesn't that sound good?

Through The Entertainer App, I was invited for a tasting session at Morganfield's which is located at Suntec City. We started off our tasting with some thirst-quenching soda drinks and some appetisers/snacks.

Morganfield's serves the best ribs in town, and they are truly authentic! Their prime pork ribs are slow-cooked and smoked to a tender mouth-watering perfection. We were so lucky to try out their trademark stick bones in 4 different versions during the tasting session. Among all, I preferred the classic Hickory BBQ and Garlic BBQ sticky Bones the most!

Hickory BBQ Sticky Bones - A traditional sweet tasty and smoky feel

Smoked Peppercorn Sticky Bones - A heavy black pepper flavor

Garlic BBQ Sticky Bones - Generous amounts of garlic toppings, a great combination of sweetness and spiciness

Spicy Asian BBQ Sticky Bones - An alert to all foodies who love spicy food, this is definitely for you, as it contains of Asian herbs and chilli flakes

Apart from having the signature sticky bones from Morganfield's, we also had Beer Battered Fish Fillets, Crayfish Mac & Cheese, Smokehouse Bacon Cheeseburger and Chicken BLT.

We ended our lunch with desserts! We had the Chocolate Lava Cake, and it is one of the richest molten cakes that I've ever eaten before. I was surprised that it was not as sweet as I expected it to be. Thumbs Up!

The Bread Pudding is not a common dessert which is served in Singapore. The vanilla ice-cream and the whiskey sauce attracted me to it!

Thanks Morganfield's and The Entertainer App for the lovely invite and I am glad to be part of the celebration of The Entertainer App as it grows bigger in the coming years to come.

Do make use of The Entertainer App to enjoy huge savings especially when indulging in Morganfield's awesome sticky bones!! You can download the mobile app from the App Store or Google Play, and it is retailing now at SGD85 for access to the full version of the deals the app offers.

Alienware celebrated its 20th anniversary as a leading pioneer in high-performance PC gaming systems, over a launch event which was held at Club Millian, St. James Power Station. I was glad to be part of the birth of this new generation of products by Alienware and Dell. Alienware improves experiences for gamers with the introduction of its first ever VR-ready notebooks.

The new Alienware 17 is the ultimate gaming notebook with an emphasis on screen size, gaming performance and overall immersion. With eye-tracking technology, it allows gamers to fine tune their skills with a new Overwolf APP that can replay one's gaze. Gamers can now track where they were last looking at during gameplay! Gamers can now learn from their mistakes and be will be sure to focus their attention on the best opportunities to crush the competition.
The Tobii Camera is the newest added feature in Alienware 17, and it is used to enhance presence detection. It locks your system when you walk away, thus this unique feature help to optimise power, performance, and can also improve security.

The Alienware 15 is well-balanced device to provide a superior gaming performance with portability. The new mid-size laptop fits perfectly well for gamers who want the best of both worlds.

The Alienware Graphics Amplifier is your quickest ticket to 4K gaming and beyond!

Dell also introduced their new XPS and Inspiron laptops, Inspiron 2-in-1, and XPS Tower at the launch event too.

The latest devices from Dell delivers some of the best visual experiences with InfinityEdge screens and vibrant graphics. Writing the first chapter of your future novel or binge-watching your favorite TV programmes with your friends has never been more fun!

XPS 13 is the World’s Smallest 13-inch Laptop which was designed and built for premium performance, mobility and visual fidelity, with the added bonus of Dell's Ultimate Viewing Experience. I love the virtually borderless InfinityEdge display, which offers even more power, and a better battery life.

The Inspiron 13-inch 5000 2-in-1 offers a sleek design and a brilliant wide-angle FHD resolution display. The 2-in-1's compact size and light weight make it ideal for everyday travel. It is perfect for multi-taskers who regularly switch between open applications.

[media invite] Sarnies X The Entertainer App

I am someone who loves to eat out, and my weekly dining expenses are pretty hefty. Now, with The Entertainer App, I can get 1-for-1 deals which makes my indulgence more worthwhile! This helps me to maintain my dining out habits without to feel a pinch in my pockets. It really helps me to acquire great savings when there are big group gathering or even for a simple meal outing on a date.

'Redeeming' the offers from the app is as easy as ABC. All we have to do is to key our PIN number via the mobile app at the participating outlets and the staff of your desired eatery place will confirm the deal by keying their respective PIN on your app. The dining deal is good for a 3-time usage at the same restaurant.

If you are someone who dines out often like me, this has to be one of the best dining deals out there! It is available for download via Google Play and Apple Store. This is something you should NOT miss out!
The usual price for The Entertainer App is SGD85 but if you key in this promo code SGBLOG2016, you will save SGD10. All 1-for-1 deal offers by the app are valid till end of 2016.

This brings me to the food tasting with The Entertainer at Sarnies, a pumping little cafe which is located at the bustling CBD, along Telok Ayer Street.

I am a slider lover, and we tried out the vegan sliders at Sarnies.

The Grilled Haloumi with Onion Jam & Roasted Cherry Tomatoes tasted fabulous. I love the bite size buttery bun, as it was the perfect size to my liking.
Another appetiser served was Pulled Pork Taco with Chilli, Coriander, Lime & Red Cabbage. The pulled pork was well seasoned and the tender and juicy pulled pork tasted amazing!

I had Spicy Buffalo Wings, and they were pretty meaty. When the wings arrived on our table, they looked and smelled good. Each wing had just the right amount of sauce coating, and it tasted good.

We moved forward to our main course, Southern Indian Style Hand Cut Pappardelle with Prawns, Coconut Milk, Curry leaves. The classical creamy sauce pasta tasted well with the authentic aromatic curry leaves. I love how this dish is cooked using, the coconut milk instead of heavy cream and the whole dish went perfectly well with Chef Zak's cooking method.

I was glad to taste the Texas Style Burger with Overnight Smoked Brisket, white Slaw, Dijon, Gherkins, BBQ Sauce & Hand Cut Wedges, and the BBQ sauce gives the smoke meat patty a wonderful and authentic Texan flavour.

\We rounded up our session with yummy Churros with Salted Caramel & Chocolate Sauce. You will never go wrong with these Spanish treats which are made from a dough similar to choux pastry and cooked in the same way as a doughout. It tasted heavenly good with the dipper sauce.
Thanks Sarnies and The Entertainer App for the lovely invite!
