[Weekend Movie Date] Despicable Me 2

Image
I decided to redeem the movie vouchers which were given to me courtesy from LG for the movie ‘Despicable Me 2’ on a random weekend, and I hope I am not too late to express my views on this movie…   The lovely movie standee outside the cinema attracted me so much that I couldn’t resist myself to take a photo against it…   --- Posters of Despicable Me 2 ---   ‘Despicable Me 2’ is a highly anticipated sequel to the lovable and fun movie 'Despicable Me' in 2010. It is a fast-paced and comedy movie that keeps me well-entertained from the very first minute till the end, and the plot moves nicely.   The main character, Gru (voiced by Steve Carell) is likeable and funny. In this sequel, he is no longer a villain, and now he has devoted his life to being a family man to the three adorable orphans, but he has trouble accepting them growing up.   The animations are incredibly beautiful and the setting is vibrant and colorful. This  movie was

In love with VanityTrove all over again

I am excited to be receiving my second personalized VanityTrove beauty box which I subscribed to in mid-July via VanityTrove's website.     I received my hand-picked VanityTrove in good hands, and this time I shall call it HUBSCH TROVE . Hahahaha!!   I can't wait to use the products that I have chosen from the selection list, as I wanted to see the results on me after using them. I personally feel that it is a good platform for users like me to try and test the products as we prefer before heading off to purchase the full size products rather than simply giving samples for us to try on.   I love my HUBSCH TROVE loads as it contained all the beauty treats I love!!     I have selected six items off the list, and before I checked out my shopping cart, there was a bonus item to be added into my trove.   Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser   PHYSIOGEL Face/Body Cleanser   SILKYGIRL Gentle Eye Makeup Remover   Nuxe

A fulfilled trip to Peranakan Museum

Image
I made a trip down to the Peranakan Museum on a random weekend and explore the vibrant ethnic culture of Peranakan...     The Peranakan Museum showcases the world's finest and most comprehensive Peranakan collection in displays that trace the main episodes of Peranakan life.   Who are Peranakans? For centuries, foreign merchants from countries like China, India were attracted to Southeast Asia's trade in fine products like textiles, spices and etc. Most returned home but some remained behind, and marry the local women. The descendents of these intermarriages are referred to as 'Peranakan' which means 'locally born' in Malay.   There are ten themed galleries showcasing the Peranakan life from cradle to grave which include the elaborate 12-day of Peranakan wedding, Peranakans in Singapore's history, as well as Peranakan's food and feasting.   The display of a wedding chamber is heavily decorated with ornate car

Gala Opening Night of The Phantom of the Opera

After a long day's work, I made my way to the MASTERCARD Theatres (SANDS Theatre) for the GALA OPENING NIGHT of ' The Phantom of the Opera' .      I was given a pair of STALL-SEAT tickets, and we were pretty much looking forward to watch this magnificent all-time favorite musical and we loved the stage setting and the props, specifically the Chandelieir and the ornaments with gold craving. I was especially impressed by the Elephant prop in one scene!   Brad Little plays the most famous character in musical theatre history, the Phantom in ' The Phantom of the Opera', and he is excited to bring his interpretation of the role of 'The Phantom’ to the Singapore audiences...   He plays the role as Phantom was brilliant, and he injected emotions into his role when he sang ‘Music of the Night’ which attracted me to this song very much. His character as the ‘hideous creature of the night’ broke my heart as he reveals his feeling of h
