Gala Opening Night of Annie

Base Entertainment Asia is proud to present the return of everyone's favorite little red-headed orphan, 'Annie' to Singapore! This best-loved family musical is now playing at The MasterCard Theatres, Marina Bay Sands till 11th of September 2016. Tickets are now on sales at Sistic outlets, and all Marina Bay Sands Box Offices.

The musical is inspired by the famous comic strip, 'Little Orphan Annie' which first ran in the New York Daily News in 1924. It is a story set during the 1920-30's Great Depression Era, and about Annie's hard-knock life in a New York orphanage. to being adopted and entering the luxurious life of billionaire businessman, Oliver Warbucks.

'Annie' remains as one of the biggest Broadway musicals ever. The original production opened in 1977, and it has been performed in 28 languages. The classic film was released in 1982.

I love the song, 'It's a Hard Knock Life' which is one of the most memorable songs in the production, and this song is sung by the orphanage girls through their life under the domineering lady in charge of the orphanage, Miss Hannign.

The story is simple and heart-warming, and watching Annie enters the life of a lonely billionaire, Oliver Warbucks gives the feeling of a fairy-tale come true to the audience! I love this production, as it boasts impressive settings and costumes. The Warbucks Mansion is filled with famous paintings.

I had the pleasure to attend the Gala Opening Night of 'Annie' all thanks to Base Entertainment Asia. This musical will go tremendously well with young kids.

[The 1872 Clipper Tea X My Floral Loft] Hand-tied Bouquet Workshop

I went for my first Hand-tied Bouquet Workshop which was organised by The 1872 Clipper Tea and their collaboration partner, My Floral Loft to bring us a wonderful flower arrangement session at Yellow Cup Café.

While waiting for the workshop to commence, we had some refreshments prepared by The 1872 Clipper Tea.

Recently, The 1872 Clipper Tea launched the Singapore Orchid Collection, which features 3 different types of Ceylon black tea infused with a touch of petals from our country's national flower, the Orchid!

Orchid Blossom is a sweet combination of cranberry with subtle hints of cream. Halia Blossom adds ginger into the floral mix, and lastly Dragon Eye Bouquet is a Green and Black tea blended with tropical fruits!

The special tea set of 3 - Singapore Orchid Collection is currently retailing at SGD38.

Rachel, the proud owner of 'My Floral Loft' was there to share with us some of her tips on flower arrangement. She also conducted a workshop with us too! She taught us on some basic tips in selecting the flowers, trimming of the stems and lastly, the arrangement of the flowers

Below were my picks for my hand-tied bouquet!

The final step is the hardest among all, as in how to wrap the flowers with the craft papers.

This photo was taken by my Baby outside the cafe with my first hand-tied bouquet. Thanks for waiting patiently while I was at the workshop. How do you find my bouquet?

Thanks buddy, Jasmine for extending her invite to me!

After attending the workshop, I discovered that I am interested in learning more about flower arrangement. My mom was surprised to see my photos which I also shared across my social media platforms in order to showcase my experience on this fun hobby!

Thanks for having me at the workshop as I really enjoyed my weekend afternoon day out with The 1872 Clipper Tea and My Floral Loft.

We brought home a set of the Singapore Orchid Collection and 2 packs of loose tea bags, as well as some random postcards, all graciously given by The 1872 Clipper Tea!

Hallyu Night with Singtel at Barber Shop Timbre

Recently, I attended the event 'Hallyu Night with Singtel' which was at the Barber Shop Timbre, and it was a night of fun and laughter.

Lately, many people are undergoing the process of 'Hallyu', which consists of watching K Dramas, listening to KPop Music, using K beauty/health products, and consuming K Cuisine and snacks!

During the event, I was introduced to a brand new way to enjoy our favorite entertainment on-the-go with the launch of Cast, Singapore's first OTT video Portal app. This new app offers thousands of hours of exciting movies, dramas, variety shows and kids' entertainment, which is delivered on Singtel's extensive 4G network!

Singtel Mobile post-paid customers can choose from Kids, Asian Hits or Hallyu Content Packs. Each pack start from SGD4.90/month with a 12-month Singtel contract and customers can opt for a special 1GB data add-one for just an additional SGD3 per month. Subscriptions can be paid conveniently through their monthly Singtel bill. Alternatively, there is a charge of SGD6.90/month for customers who are without a contract.

To enjoy the latest Korean and Japanese entertainment, customers can also sign up for Viu's Premium Services. With Cast, everyone can enjoy the entertainment at a flexible way at anywhere and anytime. It also gives us a greater choice of the best entertainment experience!

Viu Premium Service offers the widest selection of latest Korean dramas and variety shows, as well as the latest Japanese dramas. Viu Premium subscribers have priority viewing of the dramas that include English and Chinese subtitles, and will be aired within 8 hours after the original telecast.

Hallyu Pack contains the best Korean entertainment from top Korean broadcasters on popular channels such as ONE, Oh!K and KBS World as well as all-time favourite variety shows such as Running Man, Infinite Challenge and Return of Superman.

For me, I personally would choose Viu Premium over the Hallyu Pack, since I prefer K-dramas, but if your preference is on Korean variety shows, then the Hallyu Pack might benefit you more.

Asian Hits Pack features popular hit movies, variety shows and dramas series from Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong and China on their original language.

As for the Kids Pack features Nickelodeon and Nick Jr. channels, and parents can consider this pack for their kids as they would be entertained with their favorite shows that range from Dora the Explorer, SpongeBob SquarePants and PAW Patrol!

Kelly Poon was there at the event performed LIVE on stage. She sang 2 songs, and the first song was 'Always' - Descendants of the Sun OST (Korean version) and a Chinese song, '爱无力'.

Enjoy the short video clips of her wonderful performance. Have a pleasant viewing!

I took some random photos with my clique, Sweetie and Chewy.

Pardon me for this pose, as I am so in love with this drama.

Yes! I am very into the Hallyu craze. Thanks for the lovely assorted Korean snacks and Korean beauty products by The Face Shop!

I ended my Hallyu night with a group photo. Thanks Singtel and IN.FOM for having us at the event!

If you're interested to subscribe to Cast, you can do so via My Singtel app and also download Cast from either the App Store or Google Play Store.

[RKM's Anniversary] Hi-tea at Orchard Hotel + random-ness

Happy 8th Anniversary!

I brought Baby for a High-Tea session at the Orchard hotel recently. I love spending quality time with him, and It was my way of thanking him for showering me with his love and care all these years. Long may it continue in the coming years!! I also wanted to thank him for being very supportive towards my social media lifestyle, and he is always there for me whenever I need him.

We made use of UOB's bank promotion for a 1 for 1 deal for our celebration. This is a good deal, and it helps save money for our future, as well as for our forthcoming 1 week holiday in September!

I love the Laksa at the noodles station, as well the fried dumplings/wantons. The buffet spread selection was very decent for the amount we paid, and the damage for the whole High-tea only SGD42!

These are some random photos of us taken at the Emirates Singapore Derby, which was held at the Capitol Piazza Outdoor Plaza in July.

Thanks for the photos!

Jasmine, Baby and I went down to F1 Pit Building for the Singapore Airlines Light Up the Night Carnival which was opened to the public to welcome the upcoming Formula One (F1) Grand Prix on the 16-18 September 2016.

Jasmine posted her video collage via Instagram's stories on her account, @chewyjas and I took a screenshot of it upon seeing her video collage.

Thanks for featuring my back view! We end our day out by having our dinner at Hifumi Japanese Restaurant, Marina square and of course our Pokémon Hunting.
