Crème Simon Workshop

I attended an exclusive bloggers' event, Crème Simon Workshop at Raffles City Robinsons.

Thanks Debbie for the lovely invite!

I got to know about Crème Simon during the launch at Knightsbridge, and I enjoyed using their products. Being an avid fan, I was happy with the results the products offer.

Celebrity makeup artist, Larry Yeo was there to conduct a skincare presentation by using products from Crème Simon.

Laduree macaroons were served at the event and the whole atmosphere felt like a Parisian affair.

Larry Yeo shared with us his knowledge of skincare ingredients and the correct ways to apply the products.

I took home the Brightening Detox Series, Oxygenating Day Cream and also the Restorative Night Cream. Both of them are from the Winter Collection which was formulated for extra hydration.

The light-weight texture penetrates rapidly into the skin, and leaves the skin supple with no greasy feeling after use.

The gel-crème bears a protective formula which moisturizes and nourishes the skin.

Apart from the two products, I got a nice packet of Crème Simon red packets too.

If you are interested in trying the products yourself, do use the discount code ‘3NCXTFP’ to receive a 10% discount off from Crème Simon Website, and the delivery come free with every order too!

Preview screening of ‘Meet Miss Anxiety’

A few days ago, I attended the movie screening of 'Meet Miss Anxiety', and it was a fruitful one. I got the pleasure to be one of the first few to catch this preview, all thanks to Clover films. The premiere date is on the 05 Feb 2015

The Korean movie - ‘My Sassy Girl’ was a smash-hit in 2001, and was directed by Kwak Jae-Yong, where his latest romantic-comedy film, ‘Meet Miss Anxiety’ has made an impact in the movie industry. It has made a smash at the box office ever since its film debut in December 2014.

The movie starts with a graduation day, Qi Jia (starring Zhou Xun) shows up in a wedding dress and went up on stage to recite her vows to the love of her life, Liu Chong (played by Wallace Chung) but got rejected. After the rejection, Qi becomes an alcoholic addict and is suffering from premature menopause brought on by her depression over being ditched by Liu few years back.

As Qi goes through the misery, Yuan Xiao Ou (starring Tong Dawei) has been secretly in love with her since school days, and endures her temper without any complaint, and always stays by her side.

Zhou Xun plays a 26-year-old lady in the movie, and I was kinda surprised to see Zhou Xun's rice-bowl haircut. Though she is almost 40 years old in real life, her porcelain skin was amazingly accepted by many in the audience, myself included!

In the movie, Zhou Xun and Tong Dawei have an easy chemistry, unfortunately it is plain. Wallace Chung looks kinda out of place as Zhou Xun's love, and lastly, I was surprised by the cameo of Guo Shu Yao aka Yao Yao as a college room-mate.

I personally think it is a good movie though the story plot is pretty simple and thin. I love the theme song very much, and my tears just dripped down naturally as this song touches my heart.

Enjoy the theme song from ‘Meet Miss Anxiety’

I was glad that I was invited to attend the inaugural tasting event of The Macallan in Singapore, which was held at Marina Bay Sands Expo.

This is 'Yours truly', at Marina Bay Sands, and this was my OOTD that day!

I embarked on my journey with 'Toast The Macallan', and during this event, I learnt the best ways to enjoy tasting Macallan whiskey via the demonstration, which itself was an art for appreciating whiskey!

Toast The Macallan was held over 6 sessions over the weekends, and I was glad that I was able to be part of the last session on the last day.

I love the exhibits that were on display at the Toast The Macallan event, and the art of appreciating whiskey inspires me throughout this journey with The Macallan.

The rich range of colors in The Macallan whiskey are derived from the wood of the exceptional oak casks that Macallan uses.

The Macallan has grown from small local enterprise to global recognition from its humble beginnings in 1824. Based on the quality, it has been labeled as one of the world's truly great whiskey.

I took a random selfie with my welcome cocktails that were complimentary, and I enjoyed it very much.

During our 90 minutes session, we were treated to a range of tasting, and digital presentation on how some countries such as Scotland, London, Spain, New York and Singapore have influenced The Macallan over the years.

As a guest at Toast The Macallan, we enjoyed The Macallan Whisky Flight (wine-tasting) which included whiskey from Macallan's range of 12 Years Old, 15 Years Old, Whisky Makers Edition (which is only for sale during travel retails / airports), and lastly 18 Years Old.

The Brand Ambassador, Mr Kieron Elliot was the host, together with local host/celebrity Randall Tan, and together, they brought us on a journey to discover The Macallan's heritage. He shared with us on the correct way to taste and enjoy Macallan whiskey to the fullest.

After the whole tasting, I personally prefer the Fine Oak 15 Years Old, as it went smoothly down the throat and left a hint of chocolatey after taste.

Lastly, we were given a miniature Macallan 12 Years Old before the session ended.

Both Baby and I had a magical moment at the Toast The Macallan! Thanks for having us at the event, as it was truly a worthwhile indulgence for me.
