[tie a knot] Blissful occasion at Tamarind Hill

My kid brother has finally settled down with his long-time girlfriend. They have known each other since 2005, which makes it a decade since they have been a couple.

He threw his wedding solemnization and luncheon at Tamarind Hill. This high-end restaurant serves up authentic Thai Cuisine. The restaurant was surrounded by a lush floral garden, which created a greenery and tranquil environment for the wedding. I couldn't resist taking a photo of myself against the calm surrounding.

Being an immediate family member, we went down to the venue earlier to help him out in ushering/entertaining our relatives and guests, and to manage the crowds.

My cute nephew, Hayden! He looks smart wearing the black jacket.

This photo of me and my brothers was snapped by Baby when the trio of us were discussing on the arrangements of handling the guests upon their arrival.

The interior setting of the place was very colonial and classy, yet gave a casual atmosphere which was nice.

I was surprised by the wedding photos taken by my brother and his wife, as it was simplistic, yet very artistic and hip. My brother opted away from the traditional studio shoot, but instead had a very different way and mind-set of what they wanted. Furthermore, they encouraged their guests to share their  photos/blessings on instagram by hastaging #tonyxweiwedding

After the tea ceremony, the wedding couple proceeded with their marriage solemnization, and all the guests witnessed the marriage signing and sent out their blessings to them too.

The wedding cake looked as good as it tasted!

Each table was placed a small pouch gift, and I love the design of 'T & W' that was stamped on the pouch. It was kinda unique and I used it to keep my earphones and trinkets.
Luncheon was served shortly after the solemnization.

I love the appetizer very much. Among the three, I love Prawn and Chicken Sticks best!

We rounded the wedding luncheon with Mango Sticky Rice and a small slice of the wedding cake.

There was a small photo corner for the guests to take photos and they provided props too. We helped ourselves with some selfies and wefies.

Congrats to my brother, Tony and sister-in-law, Wei Wei

Thanks Sunshine Bakeries for the generous delivery.

Sunshine Bakeries introduced their latest product, Sunshine Mocha Choc Wholemeal Cream Roll. Coffee culture is fast-growing in Singapore, and it is a yummy and nutritious option for coffee-lovers or for those on-the-go.
It is a convenient snack as it makes a great brekkie fix for me! I love the generous dose of Mocha cream sandwiched in the middle of the pillow soft choc wholemeal bread roll.
The Sunshine Mocha Choc Wholemeal Cream Roll is high in calcium and iron, and enriched in vitamins B1, B2 and B3. It also contains prebiotics which helps the growth of good bacteria for a better digestive system. With the wide selections of 10 yunmy flavors,  each flavor will definitely satisfy your craving.
I always start my day with whole grain bread as making healthier dietary choices is the first step towards a better lifestyle. Bread is our staple and comfort food for breakfast due to it being a convenient and nutritious snack for the morning rush, be it going to school or heading to work.
A leader in Asia in promoting the benefits of whole grains, Sunshine Bakeries is committed to providing Singaporeans with more healthier and innovative bread options that meet the recommended five to seven servings of whole grains each day. There are 5 different types of breads in the Sunshine Wholemeal Bread range which are endorsed by both the US Whole Grain Council (WGC) and by the Health Promotion Board (HPB) as a Healthier Choice product.
The Extra Fine Sprouted Wholemeal is ideal for white bread consumers looking to make a switch to whole grains – it has an extra fine texture, is distinctively flavourful and has the many nutritional benefits of sprouted grains. These grains are gentler on our digestion and have higher level of fibre, folate, vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. Sprouted grains also have a lower glycaemic impact which help keep blood sugar healthy.
For consumers who prefer a grainier and nuttier taste, they can opt for the Classic Wholemeal or the Enriched Multi-Grain loaf which contains nutrient-rich whole grains and seeds.

Soft Grain Wholemeal bread contains premium Australian rolled oats and is delightfully high in fibre. The Softmeal loaf is just the right one for a quick bite.

Gala Opening Night of Disney's Beauty and the Beast

I was happy to be invited to the Gala Opening Night of Disney's Beauty and the Beast, and I made my way to MasterCard Theatres, Marina Bay Sands.

This musical is based on the Academy-Award winning animated feature film, Disney's Beauty and the Beast from 1991. It tells the story of Belle, a beautiful and intelligent young lady who attempts to save her father, who is imprisoned in a mysterious castle by a fearsome and gruesome beast who was once a prince that was cursed by an enchantress. The only way to become human again is that he must learn how to love and be loved in return. His time is running out, as he has a time limit in the form of a magical rose, and once all its petals wilt and fall off, he will be doomed to remain as a beast forever.

Disney's Beauty and the Beast was the first Disney animated feature film to be turned into Broadway Musical.
Gaston has good vocals but I was turned off by his actions on stage as a chauvinistic village brute and he loves to brag about himself in front of Belle.
'Be our Guest' bears a catchy tune that followed me around in my head. This song sends out a message to enter the world of fairy tales and magic!
My favorite scene is when Hilary Maiberger as Belle sings 'A change in me'. Her voice is brilliant and in a clarity pure tone!
Disney magic is so strong that it never grows old and brings out the kid in every one of us!
The play ended with a happily-ever-after ending which made me hum along to the musical score even after the curtains fell and the show was over. I love the story of Disney's Beauty and the Beast as it was a heart-warming musical experience. I had the pleasure to watch this performance all thanks to Base Entertainment Asia, and I enjoyed this magical love story of Disney's Classic, as it was a pleasant visual feast indeed!
