[2D1N weekend getaway] Outing with the girls...

A long-planned outing with the girls to JB was finally fulfilled on a random weekend. Baby joined us too as he took charge to ensure that our shopping/makan desires were fulfilled.

Baby drove in to our favorite town, Taman Mount Austin which is located at Jalan Kota Tinggi, Johor Bahru upon clearing customs. Upon reaching, we checked in to Hotel Austin Paradise. The room was fairly small yet cozy and was well equipped with essential amenities.

We headed down to 'Auntie Lim' for our late afternoon/or maybe some would say, an early dinner!

We ordered 2 portions of my personal favorite side snack, Chives Pancakes with Spicy Dipping Black Sauce! Each slice tasted awesome, was crispy and very addictive! In addition, each of us ordered a main course + a drink, and the damage of the meal was RM90 (SGD30-ish), which was equivalent to about SGD6-ish per person. So cheap!

Our main agenda for this trip was to satisfy our craving of singing to our heart's contents. As fate world have it, we came upon a very nifty and new Karaoke, the 'DeCast Karaoke'! The setting and premises of the place was very classy, and each floor had an unique theme.

The damage was super affordable as we paid a total of RM110-ish (SGD36+) for 5 people for a 3-hour session of singing + food and an unlimited flow of drinks. We were stunned by the amount each of us had to pay, as there was no chance the price would be this cheap in Singapore. You couldn't even pay for an hour in Singapore for what I paid here!

We went for supper after our singing session, and had Roti Canai, which is what prata is called in Malaysia!

The next day, we had our lunch before heading back to Singapore to avoid the usual congestions and jams which are commonplace nowadays on the causeway. We settled at Ichiban Ramen which is located at Aeon Tebrau City.

I bought a pair of skorts at RM15 and a flowery top from Padini at only RM25. Apart from that, I went to new shop, KIO-DA, a Korean Concept Lifestyle Store. In addition, I also picked up a facial mask which only cost me RM3, as well as some hair accessories.

I enjoyed my 2D1N weekend getaway with my favorite girls and my lovable Baby. I am glad that the girls enjoyed their stay in JB, and I am looking forward to the next one soon!

Inexpensive shopping/makan are what we like best!

[Thanks for reading] Random-ness...

2 important occasions have passed this year's calendar within a month, and they were my birthday and Valentine's Day. Now I am so looking forward to March for my 2-week Holiday to... (stay tuned to @dipmecocoa to find out)

This year, I spent my Valentine's Day in KL, and Baby surprised me with an iPad Mini 4. My first thought was that it was too lavish, as that we should save up for our forthcoming trip. However, Baby insisted on getting me something that I like. Thanks Baby, #mysweetestdrug! I love my gift very much, and I am glad that we crossed each other's path 8 years ago. During our love journey, we created many memories together.

Recently, we discovered an affordable Korean Restaurant, 'Sunny Korean Cuisine' which is located at City Square Mall, and they serve an extremely value for money set meal.

We love the Kimchi Pancake very much.

It was not a lavish dinner but a heart-warming one with my sweetest Baby. This meal pretty much summed up our Valentine's Day Meal!

I received a lovely pen from Tracy who just came back from New Zealand a couple weeks ago. Thanks ya!

Jasmine got me some stuffs during her trip to Shanghai. Thanks Chewy!

Baby sold away his Jazzy last year in December, and he upgraded to a larger car, the Subaru Forester! I really missed Jazzy very much on the first week, when we handed it over to the new owner. Goodbye, Jazzy, you have served us well for the past 8 years...

Foresty has slowly replaced Jazzy in our daily lifestyle and it has become part of our life!

Lastly, I picked up a Wonder Collect Powder which features Sanrio Character, Kuromi from Junction 8 at a special price of SGD23.

Although I paid a slightly higher price for it in SG, I still glad that I got it as I missed getting at Tokyu Hands outlet at Shibuya, JPN last year!

CNY continues for RKM...

On the 2nd day of CNY, I met up with Yongwei and Elizabeth for dinner at Junction 8, and we settled for Ambush, one of the restaurants which were opened on the second day of CNY, for our mini CNY gathering. We had an enjoyable chat time and I treasure these fun-loving and spontaneous friends of mine as this meet-up was arranged at the last minute!

I went back to work on the 3rd day of CNY, so my colleagues and I arranged a CNY gathering dinner at Golden Mile Complex for an awesome Thai dinner after our work.

CNY visiting continues for RKM, as we drove up to Subang Jaya last Friday...

I re-visited Jin Xuan Hong Kong Dim Sum Restaurant as requested by Baby, and we waited 5-10mins for our table. We ordered various dim sum entrees for our weekend brunch.

We had Egg Tarts, Fried Carrot Cake, Pork Porridge, Chee Chong Fun, Glutinous Rice (lo mai gai), Lotus Leaf Glutinous Rice, Braised Chicken Feet, Siew Mai and a Big Pork Bun!

Every food entrees we ordered tasted good! I had a nice meal and I felt good to start my new day with the awesome dim sum indulgence from Jin Xuan Hong Kong Dim Sum Restaurant.

I celebrated my Valentine's Day Eve dinner at Iberico Kitchen which is located at Oasis Square, Darmansara, as Baby knows my craving for their Black Pig Spare Ribs every time, I am in KL.

As most of us believe that 捞鱼生 during the CNY period can bring good luck. Before starting on our ribs, we started off with a unique 'Lo Hei' at Iberico Kitchen. They replaced the traditional salmon with bacon, and I was surprised that it tasted good!

We shared a bowl of Wild Mushroom Soup and a plate of Iberico Seafood Fried Rice.

We ordered both the original and honey-glazed spare ribs. OMG! The ribs were tender and flavorful. They were simply irresistible and sinfully delicious. It is definitely an eatery place that no pork lovers would ever give a miss!

I end my post with my random selfies which were taken at Sunway Pyramid and I also added a new member for my Monchhichi collection!

Lastly, thanks Crème Simon for pampering me this CNY. I am glad to have received their star product which incidentally, is also my favourite! Brightening Detox Floral Serum. Thanks for adding to the CNY mood by also giving a bottle of Kueh Bangkit with it!
