Clique's gathering @ Bugis

Finally weekends are coming, all working adults like myself, Sweetie and Linda are always looking forward to the weekends... Even Terence who is now working part-time while waiting for his enlisting into the army, feels the same way too. He told me that he prefers studying to working. Oh well, stepping into the working society is one of the stages in life... HP has the same thinking too, as he has learnt to value of weekends after his 2-month plus internship. As for William, he is a full-time blogger, own time own target.

We arranged for a get-together 'makan' gathering at Wong Kok Char Chan Teng @ Bugis Junction on a random Friday evening...

Linda, Terence and Sweetie took a shot together, while waiting for their food to be served. We simply love our gathering, as during our date, we chatted about everything under the sun, and it was a wonderful meet-up!!

William's drink - Lemonade with Sour Plum. Gosh! It looks like a red lantern. Hahaha!!

William and I took a picture together with our drinks... I had Hong Kong Style Milk Tea aka ‘Silk Stocking’ Milk Tea.

Terence had Black Pepper Pork Chop with White Rice...

Sweetie and HP had the same entree for their dinner, Bacon and Cream Spaghetti

I had Honey Chicken with Mixed Vegetables and Rice.

Linda had Soupy Noodles with Honey Spare Ribs.

William had Cheesy Seafood Baked Rice.

the shared side dish (as in 1 piece for each person) that we had were Bacon Rolls. The rolls tasted awesome-ly delicious, to the point that I found myself asking for more, 1 piece is REALLY not enough to satisfy my craving.

The damage was SGD20 per person. I simply love this harmonious feeling with one another. Truly eaten and well spent!!

After our dinner, we headed down to Liang Seah Street for some happy hour. We went to Beaver's Pub and Grill, recommended by William.

All of us ordered a pint of Stella Artois each, it reminded me my days in London and Paris with Baby, as we had beer amost everyday and to go along with our meal, the laid-back feeling was simply marvellous.

How can I possibly not cam-whore with Sweetie when we meet up with each other?

William ordered some finger food for us to share among ourselves...

The Buffalo Wings were too hot to handle, the spice-ness really gave our taste buds a REAL shock.

Potato Skins with Cheese tasted alright, but the cheese smell was pretty too over-powering. Thanks William for the generous treat for all of us!! A big 'Arigato' to you (:

My loots from KSL City Mall

I love Sunday, it is a day where I spend my time devoted to my family and of course spending quality time with my Baby. As everybody knows that I love to do cheap shopping... Baby drove in to Malaysia - KSL City Mall, JB to fulfil my trendy shopping desire on a random Sunday.

I bought a mobile cover for my iphone at a steal price of RM3.90 (abt SGD1.60).

I love the Hello Kitty design (:

I am not a Hello Kitty lover, but I was somehow attracted by the die-cut cover as I always adore pastel colors.

Seem like all my friends own a pair of hello Kitty Spectacles, so Baby suggested me to get a pair for myself to join in the clan. Hahahaha!! There are tons of colors to choose from and the patterns ranges from plain to polka dots frames.. Baby always prefer originality, so he picked the plain black frame with the classic red bow for me.

He paid RM12 (abt SGD5)

My new satchels for my daily usage, it goes well with most of my outfits. It cost me only RM27.50 (abt SGD11)

Lastly, I got a stick-on sticker for RM1 (abt SGD0.40) for my ez-link card, as my previous design (Little Twin Stars) had worn off.

Yes, I want to watch Brave very badly... Any kind soul wants to invite me to the preview or premiere screening, I welcome you with open arms!!

That concluded my humble shopping, and thanks Baby for getting me all the above items cos I usually don't bring Ringgits with me when I go JB... Hahahaha!!

Dinner at De Classic Golden Spoon

De Classic Golden Spoon is a pretty old restaurant nestled in Seng Poh Lane, opposite one of my favourite Cze Char restaurants - Por Kee Eating House. They both serve old style Cantonese food and both of them bear their own house’s signature dishes. The air-con dining area looks pretty run-down and kinda small, so do come early as seats are very limited...

The Corn Soup was pretty tasty with generous helpings of crab meat and it was worth my thumbs up...

The Prawn Rolls tasted normal nothing to shout about. I will try out the Baby Squid with Rojak Sauce as this dish received quite a number of raves

We ordered the Coffee Ribs, I simply love the way the sauce complements the spare ribs and the distinctive coffee smell when biting into the tender meat.

Mapo Tofu tasted alright, nothing to crow much about.

The damage was SGD64-ish. I feel that it was kinda pricey for the items we ordered, but the service is pretty good and the serving of food to our table was constantly speedy. Oh well, I do admit that some food they served tasted good, so for one's who wants to have a hearty indulge of comforting Cze Char feast. De Classic Golden Spoon is a sure bet.

Be entertain by Madagascar 3

No doubt watching movies In JB, Malaysia is not a new thing for me and Baby, but I recently caught a movie at MBO Cineplex at KSL Mall which was our first time patronizing this cinema. We were eager to know about the quality of the film screen and the comfort level of the seats in the theatres... The seats were REALLY comfortable but we were disappointed by the quality of the film screen as there were a lot thin scratch lines when the film was playing on the big screen. Oh well, we only paid RM22 (abt SGD9) for a pair of movie tickets for 'Madagascar 3', so I think we better not to crow too much or complain about it.

The familiar foursome, Alex the Lion (voiced by Ben Stiller), Marty the Zebra (voiced by Chris Rock), Gloria the Hippo (voiced by Jada Pinkett Smith), and Melman the Giraffe (voiced by David Schwimmer) are still in Africa yearning for their lives back in New York. To beat their homesickness, they once again embark on an adventure to get home to their beloved Big Apple. King Julien (voiced by Sacha Baron Cohen), Maurice (voiced by Cedric the Entertainer) and the Penguins are along for the adventure too. This time the journey takes them through Europe where they find the perfect cover, a traveling circus, which they re-invent into their Madagascar style!

‘Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted’ is also known asMadagascar 3 and it is a 2012, 3D computer-animated comedy film. It is the third installment of the series, following ‘Madagascar’ and ‘Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa’ and has received generally positive reviews.

--- Posters of Madagascar 3 ---

New Italian circus animals are introduced to this new series, Vitaly the Russian Tiger (voiced by Bryan Cranston), Gia the Jaguar (voiced by Jessica Chastain) and Stefano the Italian Sea Lion (voiced by Martin Short). They really stole the whole show and I love their Italian accent.

‘Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted’ is humorous and the jokes are still pretty hilarious. There are two scenes in the movie that I found pretty funny, the romantic yet silly relationship between King Julien and the new character, Sonya the Bear (voiced by Frank Welker) and ruthless new character, Captain Chantel Dubois the Monaco Animal Control Officer (voiced by Frances McDormand). She does a lot of crazy stunts like jumping over obstacles with her bike etc, but the scene which made me laugh the most about her was the preposterous methods of tracking the animals, as she can simply crawl on all fours just like a dog does.

The Afro Circus song written by Chris Rock was playing during the end credits, I found the tune pretty weird, but somehow quite contagious as I will hum it on and off to myself without knowing.

The breathtaking circus stunts scene is one the most entertaining part of the entire movie. I love the combination of the different stunts along with the colorful neon lights and lastly with Katy Perry’s Firework being played in the background, this scene is simply wonderful.
The morale of the story is about friendship, with friends should be sticking together through thick and thin and don’t ever give up easily on things.

The overall plot of the movie is pretty good. ‘Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted’ delivers a great deal of fun for all ages. It makes me feel like I was a kid again and I sincerely wish for Madagascar 4.

My Scheming Facial Mask: Pearl Whitening Mask

Weekends never seem to be enough for me, as time flies so quickly when I am doing things that I like most, therefore I decided to pamper myself to a nice mask treat to beat my Moanday Monday blues.

Mask-ing session with My Scheming Facial Mask: Pearl Whitening Mask

Suitable for dry skin, as it provides moisture and elastic-ness to the skin. With the help of Pearl Protein, it gives a smooth and silky feel on the skin.

The material of the mask is pretty thin, but one needn't worry, as it doesn't tear easily and I really love the pleasant flowery scent!! I left the mask on my face for 20mins, and after patting the essence into my skin, my face looks more radiant than before and feels well-hydrated.

I like the mask as a whole, as it provides excellent moisturising benefits.

A fulfilling weekend day out

Mapo Dou Fu Restaurant, is an authentic Szechuan Restaurant located along Sin Ming Road which serves a tantalising steamboat that uses Yuan Yang Stock... This traditionally-decorated restaurant is not only famous for their 'mala' steamboat, they also serve authentic Szechuan Cuisine. Baby and I decided to order the a la carte items from the menu.

This restaurant is an outlet of the famous Mapo Doufu Restaurant in Chengdu, China, reputable for its authentic Szechuan cuisine dishes and the waitresses are polite, patient and helpful. A couple of them are the natives from Chengdu.

I ordered the Szechuan Hot & Sour soup for myself... The peppery-taste was overpowering and it made the soup taste like a pepper soup.

Baby had Crabmeat Soup... It tasted pretty light and delicious

We ordered the signature dish in the house, Mapo Doufu. Being an authentic dish from Szechuan, it tasted powerfully spicy with both conventional spiciness and the characteristic 'mala' (numbing spiciness) flavor of Szechuan cuisine.

Kung Pao Chicken originated from Szechuan Province ansd Map Dou Fu Restaurant use the original Szechuan version to prepare Kung Pao Chicken. The diced chicken meat was well-marinated and was seasoned with Szechuan Style chilli peppers and Szechuan peppercorns, and stir-fried with onions and peanuts

We had Fried French Bean in Szechuan Style with garlic and peppercorns. Tasted pretty alright but it was kinda too salty for my taste buds.

The damage was SGD53-ish. After finishing my meal, I realized that the most important component of the Sichuan dishes is the Szechuan peppercorns, as they will give a distinctive numbing flavor to your taste buds.

~ A day out with my Baby ~

 My outfit of the day!!

Anyway, I had collected the full set of McDonald's Hello Kitty collection... YAY!!

I like Grimace and Ronald McDonald best!!
