[product review] LoveMore Thermal Water Brightening Mask

There are 3 variants of masks for the latest LoveMore Water Beauty Series, and each type is to target a certain skin issue.
Thermal Water Brightening Mask - soothe and reinforce natural skin protection
Glacier Water Soothing Mask - revitalize and clarify for crystal clear complexion
Deep Sea Water Hydrating - eliminate dryness, restore younger looking skin.

I was so happy to be able to try out the Water Beauty Series from LoveMore all thanks to Secretive and I was glad to receive the Thermal Water Brightening Mask which helps to brighten up my skin and say bye bye to dull and uneven skin tone.

I love the cute packaging as it is a shape of a water bottle/jar.

Thermal Water Brightening Mask is specially formulated to reduce pigmentation and brighten up the skin effectively. Fresh thermal water from Japan volcanic hot spring and it is rich in minerals which help to nourish and brighten up skin.

LoveMore Water Beauty range is specially formulated with a second generation of pure silk that will rapidly increase the penetration of essence and leave the skin smoother, suppler and brighter after each application.

Unlike other mask series from LoveMore, this newest range, the mask comes in 3 layers (plastic sheet, blue sheet and facial sheet.)

The usage of the mask sheet is pretty simple. First of all, remove the plastic sheet and fit the mask sheet over the face then slowly remove the blue non-woven sheet. After 10-15mins of mask-ing, remove the mask sheet and gently pat the remaining essence (residue) into the skin.

The newly formulated and upgraded LoveMore mask sheets are super thin and soft, and as you can see from the images that it is so thin that my flaws are able to be seen through it.

The mask fits well, and I notice a slight brightening effect on my face after my first mask-ing application, however it was short-lived. Oh well, I believe regular usage will achieve good results.

LoveMore Water Beauty Series are retailing at SGD13.90 per box (5masks). Do check out my space  for another brand new mask range review by Sexy Look.

Media Launch of Microsoft Office 365 Personal

I attended the launch of Office 365 Personal which was held at Pact, Orchard Central and I appreciated the invite from Microsoft Singapore.

Office 365 Personal and Home connect the world of work and play through the most complete set of Office applications – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, Publisher and Access.

Designed for the individual, Office 365 Personal allows for its users to install Office on one PC or one Mac, as well as one tablet device to be connected to the service.

I totally enjoyed the presentation as it shows us some cool functions and features that are available for this newly launched product, Office 365 Personal.

Microsoft Singapore unveiled Office 365 Personal, a new addition to the Office 365 line-up for consumers at an annual subscription rate of SGD89.

There are some powerful new features: People Card helps to aggregate all your contact information from different sources, including your social networks, in a single place. Read Mode helps to optimize your documents for reading on a tablet. Last Location allows you pick up right where you left off when using Office across multiple devices. In short, it saves time. PDF Reflow allows you to use information from PDFs in Office docs. Presenter View provides you a command center for presentations. Flash Fill eliminates wasteful time spent on tedious data entry.

After the presentation, we were invited to get a scan of ourselves by using advanced technology 3D printer as a token of an appreciation for attending the event.

There were some displays 3D figures at the scanning station that made me wonder how my figure will look. I simply can’t wait for my very first personalized 3D figure. It sounds uber cool right!

The scanning began, and we slowly took our turns, and as expected, each figure needs at least 8 weeks to printed it out, which means I can probably received mine sometime in June!

My initial mould is ready, and my upper head was slightly cut-off but I was told they will do some 'touch up' for the affected areas before the final artwork.

Office 365 Home is perfect for households with multiple devices, where it can be installed in up to five PCs or Macs, and five tablets (including iPad) with an annual subscription rate still at S$138.00 per year.

Both Office 365 Personal and Home offers value-added subscription services with 27 GB of cloud storage with OneDrive per user – 20 GB more than the normal user and 60 free Skype world calling minutes per month for the main account holder.
Office 365 is available at Best Denki, Courts, Challenger, Harvey Norman, Newstead and all other Microsoft authorized retailers. For more information on Office 365, please visit http://office.microsoft.com/en-sg/

The team from Microsoft Singapore was nice to prepare the Office 365 Home as a door gift for us, and lastly thanks for the invite once again.

Say NO! to Cervical Cancer

Upon receiving the invite, and RSVP for it without a second thought as I want to be part of the event to spread awareness for a good cause.

Cervical cancer is caused by a strain of virus – Human Papillomavirus (HPV), and the two main precautions taken against cervical cancer are Pap Smears and HPV vaccination, and with the help these options, we, ladies will have a better protection ourselves from contracting the disease.

HPV is commonly transmitted through sexual intercourse, via contact at the genital areas as well as pregnancy from the mother to the new-born during delivery.

HPV infection is silent, and unsuspecting infected individuals do not know that they may have contracted the disease and may unknowingly spread the virus. Regular screening and prevention is critical as early stages of cervical cancer show NO signs of symptoms.

The Cervical Cancer Awareness event was held at One Fullerton at Lady M Confections.

It always nice to indulge on the delicious cakes and understand more about Cervical Cancer and on how we can protect ourselves against it.

Signature Cakes by LADY M and light bites were served before the event commenced.

Cervical cancer is the 2nd most common cancer affecting women. An alarming 500,000 women are diagnosed each year globally. Over the years, efforts have been put in to educate the public on the measures taken for cervical cancer prevention.

Pap Smear Screening Test helps to detect changes in the cells of the cervix which may develop into cancerous cells. HPV Vaccination helps to prevent HPV infection and REDUCE the RISK of developing cervical cancer.
Pap Smear Screening Tests are THE initial tests to detect any changes in the cervical cells. One normal Pap Smear IS NOT ENOUGH to protect against cervical cancer.

Prof Tay Sun Kui, Senior Consultant, Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, SGH started his speech on some common myths of cervical cancer, and the speech presentation was followed by Senior Consultant Gynaecologist, Dr. Chia Yin Nin.

Dr. Chia shared her 15 years of Gynaecology practice with us and she has seen patients from all walks of life coming to her in all in different cancer stages.

Everyone including myself will have a wrong idea of the cause for cervical cancer, as you and I will think that a commercial sex worker who involve herself with prostitution will have a high risk in contracting this dreadful disease.

As per Dr. Chia’s reply during the event, the answer is No but in fact, they were the ones least susceptible to cervical cancer, as they need to obtain a license/grant to practice sexual relations, as a result it is mandatory to go for a Pap Smear Screening once every 6 months.

Cervical Cancer victims hit women with no family medical history background, which means it may happen to anyone. As per Dr. Chia’s experience the high risk group people are the regular house wives, aunties that you meet either in the wet or supermarket and of course those who believe that they will never get into contact with this disease.

Dr.Chia told us her youngest patient, age 27, passed away from Cervical Cancer when she was first diagnosed at the age of 25. She added that it was quite a painful to see her departure as she left 3 young kids and an 18-month old baby. Upon seeing this heart wrenching scene, she told herself to be more aggressive in conveying the awareness through public education in preventing cervical cancer.

Dr Chia showed us some awful pictures of the early stages of cervical cancer, and they were quite a turn off. Do bear in mind early cervical cancer has no signs or symptoms; this is why regular screening and prevention are critical. In Singapore, all women aged between 25-29 years old who have intercourse are advised to have the Pap Smear tested once every 3 years.

Thanks LADY M for the kind and warm hospitality! I love their cakes very much and I will be back for their desserts soon…

'Protect to Tell– Cervical Cancer Awareness’ on 12th April 2014 Sat (the 'Event')was held as a lunch session, organized and sponsored by GlaxoSmithKline Pte Ltd. I was not paid for participating in the Event. All personal views expressed here are entirely my own.

[product review] Sexy Look Hyaluronic Acid Micro Inject Mask Sheet

The latest technology from Japan - The Micro Inject Invincible Mask comes with a double penetration effect, and has a skin-friendly natural fibre ergonomic design mask sheet to ensure maximum care. The mask injects the skin with moisture while giving a firming effect, and this leaves the skin soft and supple after application.

There are 3 different types of masks for latest the SexyLook Micro Inject Mask Series with high performance essence. I was glad to receive one of the variants, Hyaluronic Acid Micro Inject Mask Sheet, and I can’t wait to use it on my face to discover the goodness of the mask.

Micro Inject Mask bears a high density double invincible mask sheet with strong adhesion power to absorb and allow penetration od the essence from the facial mask sheet to the skin rapidly.

After a hard day's work, it is time for some mask-ing session for me, and I did it at night before heading to my loving crib.

The essence from the mask helps to soothe, hydrate and calm the irritated skin while boosting skin's natural resilience.

The mask sheet was drenched by the generous amount of essence and it is not sticky at all when the mask sheet was removed from my face. I totally love my complexion and I was surprised by the end results YES!! My skin felt suppler when I woke up from bed the next day.

After mask-ing, my skin was well moisturized and supple, and it reduces some facial lines effectively.

I will recommend this mask as I love how it hydrates my skin and my face looks glowy after usage. The texture of the facial mask sheet is soft, thin and light. It does give a good adhesive to my face and give a good firming feeling during my mask-ing session.

Sexy Look Hyaluronic Acid Micro Inject Mask Sheet is retailing at SGD3.50 per piece.
