Media Launch of Microsoft Office 365 Personal

I attended the launch of Office 365 Personal which was held at Pact, Orchard Central and I appreciated the invite from Microsoft Singapore.


Office 365 Personal and Home connect the world of work and play through the most complete set of Office applications – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, Publisher and Access.


Designed for the individual, Office 365 Personal allows for its users to install Office on one PC or one Mac, as well as one tablet device to be connected to the service.



I totally enjoyed the presentation as it shows us some cool functions and features that are available for this newly launched product, Office 365 Personal.


Microsoft Singapore unveiled Office 365 Personal, a new addition to the Office 365 line-up for consumers at an annual subscription rate of SGD89. 


There are some powerful new features: People Card helps to aggregate all your contact information from different sources, including your social networks, in a single place. Read Mode helps to optimize your documents for reading on a tablet. Last Location allows you pick up right where you left off when using Office across multiple devices. In short, it saves time. PDF Reflow allows you to use information from PDFs in Office docs. Presenter View provides you a command center for presentations. Flash Fill eliminates wasteful time spent on tedious data entry.


After the presentation, we were invited to get a scan of ourselves by using advanced technology 3D printer as a token of an appreciation for attending the event.

There were some displays 3D figures at the scanning station that made me wonder how my figure will look. I simply can’t wait for my very first personalized 3D figure. It sounds uber cool right! 


The scanning began, and we slowly took our turns, and as expected, each figure needs at least 8 weeks to printed it out, which means I can probably received mine sometime in June!


My initial mould is ready, and my upper head was slightly cut-off but I was told they will do some 'touch up' for the affected areas before the final artwork.

Office 365 Home is perfect for households with multiple devices, where it can be installed in up to five PCs or Macs, and five tablets (including iPad) with an annual subscription rate still at S$138.00 per year.

Both Office 365 Personal and Home offers value-added subscription services with 27 GB of cloud storage with OneDrive per user – 20 GB more than the normal user and 60 free Skype world calling minutes per month for the main account holder.
