Meryl's Birthday Celebration

Meryl is approaching her big 3, and she wanted to do something significant for herself. She booked a hotel staycation at Hard Rock Hotel, Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) as part of her birthday celebration. I received a message alert from her and she told me about it. Both Baby and I accepted her invitation immediately once we received her message.

On the day of celebration, before we headed over to the Hard Rock Hotel, we went for lunch at Wave House, Siloso Beach. We had a delightful lunch, and i enjoyed their companionship immensely!

After that, we went to the Sentosa Sandsation 2019 - Star Wars Edition which was also held at Siloso Beach. We were so lucky to catch it as it was the last day when we were there.

We loved the showcase of the larger than life sandcastles!

Upon entering the room, there was a huge mood of party celebration going on as wall decorations were put up.

The hotel room was facing the swimming pool, and I took a selfie at the balcony.

One of the cakes was from the PR agency, ‘Brand Cellar’, and thanks for making her day even more special with this lovely gesture!

Happy 30th Birthday, Meryl!

A cute shot of Baby Rena!

Thanks for the wonderful invitation and it is always nice to have nice good friends whom make my life brighter and fill it with laughter!

I end my post with my newly added collection of plush toys from the usual claw machines!

[throw-back] Movie preview of Fagara + Crab Feast at Jumbo SeafoodRestaurant

Last month, I attended the movie preview of 'Fagara' at the Filmgarde, Bugis+.

It’s been eons since I last saw a show with Sammi Cheng, and I relished the opportunity to ‘catch up’ with a actress I used to adore greatly. She plays the estranged daughter of a steamboat restaurant owner who is suddenly thrust into ownership of the restaurant after her father passes away. One would think this would be challenging enough but she discovers her father had two other children at the funeral. I generally find most dramas these days a bit too exaggerated and unrealistic at the same time, but this film would hit right at home with people who have estranged relationships with their families. It was quite the tear jerker as the film plays out, and it did have that bittersweet moment at the end.

Before the movie commenced, we were lead to a hotpot tasting by Xiao Long Kan. I quite enjoyed this novel idea! Thanks Xiao Long Kan and Filmgarde for the kind hospitality!

Thanks Spread-it SG for the invite!

We decided to have dinner with the Lee Family at Jumbo Seafood Restaurant (The Riverwalk) As Baby's birthday was in September and being a member of the restaurant, he was given a SGD100 discount off the bill as a birthday reward from Jumbo. Apart from the signature Chilli Crab, we also ordered three other dishes.

For the main dish of Chilli Crab, we ordered some fried Mantou to go along with the delicious gravy.

If you have high expectations for your taste-buds that are pertaining to seafood, then Jumbo Seafood is the perfect place for you to try it out! We had a great Crab Feast and thanks Ryden and Jasmine for joining us!

I end my post with my recent lunch date with Alethea at Olivia, Suntec City. Thanks for pasta treat.

[product review]The Magical Cloud - Foot Spa and Face & Body Mask.

Thanks The Magical Cloud, for introducing me to their organic body and skin products. I am glad that they sent me the product for a trial! I received 2 of their signature products - Oh my, I'm Exhaused! Peppermint Foot Spa and Chocolate Goodness/Face & Body Mask.

Being a home-grown beauty brand, The Magical Cloud offers natural and organic spa products which can be enjoyed with ease at home! Although they sell their products online, they do have a retail store which is located at Singapore Shopping Centre.
As you can see from the photo, their product packaging was not pretentious. As they say, less is more! You can totally rely on them as they only use natural and organic ingredients in their products. Strictly no chemicals or preservatives are used, thus it does have a short shelf-life. (use within 6 months!)

Let me start with the Oh my, I'm Exhaused! Peppermint Foot Spa, and as I expected, it was pure bliss for tired feet! To pamper your neglected and tired feet, simply just fill a large basin with lukewarm water and pour the entire package in and mix. Soak your feet for 10-15 minutes.

For me, I only used up half the pack for my indulgence, and it was sufficient to give a good experience to my feet. The foot spa mixture contains peppermint that will re-energize the feet and fight any bacterial or fungal infections. It will improve circulation, refresh and get rid of unwanted odour from feet!
I love the cooling sensation of the peppermint, and my feet become smoother after application. To get the best results, apply some foot cream after the foot spa is done!
I was greeted by a rich aroma of cocoa by the Chocolate Goodness! Face & Body Mask. As instructed, to apply, you have to mix the 2 tsp Chocolate Goodness with 1tbsp of honey and 1 tsp of olive or jojoba oil. For me, I used olive oil for my treatment.

I applied the mixture on the face for 10-15 minutes. As per my Instagram’s handle name - dipmecocoa, my face smelt like chocolate at the end of the mask treatment. A definite indulges for all chocolate lovers!

'Gai Gai Time' after the treament!

[random] Jessie Baby's space

I love weekends, and it is 'gai-gai' time! I did a selfie during a car ride.

The month of August is our Anniversary Month, and this year Baby brought me for dinner at Mitsuba, which is a Japanese Ala-carte buffet restraurant located at the Central, Clarke Quay. Yes! We celebrated our 11th anniversary, and I love spending quality time with him. Thanks baby for showering me with your love and care all these years. Long may it continue in the coming years!! I also want to thank him for always being very supportive towards my social media lifestyle, as well as always being there for me whenever i need him!

We went to Monster Curry for dinner on a random weekday after work, and they are presently running a collaboration with Doraemon. We shared a super huge plate of Special Combo Curry at SGD28.80 which consists of Chicken Karaage, Pork Katsu, Chicken Sausages, Jumbo Ebi, Big Fried Fish and Tako Balls. I love the concept of sharing as food generally tastes better when it comes to sharing.

Recently, Cotton On is running their latest promotion for their Men/Women Graphic T-Shirt collection, and they are going both only for 2 at SGD30. Both Baby and I love their popstar/singer collection.

I picked up a Classic T-Shirt which featured CARDI B, while Baby got himself a tee featuring Tupac Shakur (2PAC). I felt my tee was great, and it is a must have wardrobe addition for fans of of CARDI B, as it makes the right kind of statement! It is a comfy, relaxed fit suitable for tropical weather, especially in our sunny Singapore.

Meryl helped me to get some Uni-President Beef Bowl Instant Noodles during her latest work flight to Taiwan. OM! It tasted delicious, and it is definitely worth my two thumbs up! Thanks so much for the kind help!

Lastly, what I normally do on my lazy Sunday at home is to sip on beer with my Baby. We simply enjoyed this Blonde ale which he had picked up from during our recent trip to Waikiki, Hawaii!

I end my post with my weekend lunch with Baby Hubby and Mom V at Aston, Sembawang Shopping Centre, which was simple and casual. Nothing beats spending time together!
