[product review] BE PLAIN - Cicaful Ampoule + Bamboo Mask Sheet

Hiya, I am back for more beauty reviews!

I was glad that the company '0.8L Singapore' sent me the 'Be Plain Cicaful Ampoule' directly from Korea! It helps to calm sensitive skin without harmful ingredients. This product is to be applied daily for the first week, and subsequently lesser. They also included a skin calendar planner, and this helps to keep track of one's progress which I personally felt was a pretty thoughtful move.

The Cicaful Ampoule is a high concentrated nutritional ampoule which contains 84% Centella Asiatica extracts for skin recovery. It is suitable for troubled, sensitive skin types, and even on skin redness.

The Cicaful Ampoule is light-weight and fast absorbing into the skin. After usage for about a week, I discovered that my skin was now more smooth and supple, and allowed my make-up to sit into the skin more rapidly. I love the results very much, and I will continue my skin journey with BE PLAIN.

I am glad that they have included the Bamboo Mask for my indulgence too!

The Bamboo water is a staple ingredient in most Korean products, as it calms the skin while providing essential nutrients to the skin as to bring out its natural glow. The Bamboo cellulose sheet is used to improve skin conditions and provides long-lasting moisture.

The BE PLAIN Bamboo Mask Sheet had a generous amount of ‘wetness’ to it and is not as dry as other usual masks. It helps to soothe, hydrate and calm irritated skin while boosting skin's natural resilience. It was not sticky at all when I removed the mask sheet from my face. After the mask-ing session, my skin was well moisturized and supple. What a nutrient-rich skin treat!
I will recommend this mask as I love how it hydrates my skin and my face looked more glowy after usage. It is a perfect solution to combat the signs of skin aging in order to achieve a more youthful complexion.

Thanks for the wonderful try out and the smooth delivery of the products, and thanks for stopping by my space!

Exploring Jewel Changi Airport

'Hawker’ by No Signboard Holdings is their newest venture, and is also the first full-fledged Asian fast food restaurant in Singapore. This Local hawker-inspired fast food has a kiosk at Jewel Changi Airport and is located at Basement 2.

They aim to serve local favourite food in a fast and casual dining setting. The localized food menu serves an extensive selection of choices such as Chili Crab Burger, Black Pepper Crab Burger, Hainanese Chicken Rice Burger, Nasi Lemark burger, prata wrap and many more!

Thanks for the invitation to try out the signature Hawker’s menu. We began with the - Signature Chilli Crab Bun (SGD8.90). It consisted of a thick crab meat patty that was breaded and deep-fried which was then paired with crunchy burger slaw that was topped off with creamy chilli crab sauce.

I am a big fan of Chilli crab, and No Signboard Seafood Restaurant is well-known for that. Yes! I was excited!!! It tasted great but my only gripe was that it was pretty messy, as the sandwiched mantou buns can't hold the ingredients well.

Apart from the main highlight, we were treated to Satay Chicken Bun (SGD6) and Cheesy Fish Bun (SGD4.50). I enjoyed the tasty Satay Chicken Bun very much.

Those who love chicken rice will also be impressed by their Chicken Rice Burger (SGD8.90), which managed to pull off that distinct aroma of sesame oil and ginger! It is sandwiched by flavorful rice buns, and the chicken meat patty was blanched and soaked in Hainanese chicken rice chilli, which gave it a satisfyingly fiery kick. There is a popular Singlish word to describe my dining experience - 'SHIOK'.

There is an opening promotion going on at the Jewel Changi Airport outlet - FREE UPSIZE to Large curly fries with any combo meal purchased and add on - Fried Garlic Drumlets at only SGD2 (UP: SGD3) from now till 26 May 2019.

'Singapore meets the world, and the world meets Singapore'

I was lucky to get hold of the tickets for the preview before the official opening. This multi-Dimensional lifestyle shopping destination boosts over 280 stores and eateries.

The Jewel Changi Airport is 10-storey lifestyle destination, where its distinctive dome-shaped facade was designed by the same architect behind Marina Bay Sands.

Perhaps the most prominent green feature of Jewel Changi is its Forest Valley, which is stacked with trellis upon trellis of different trees and shrubs. At the centre of it all is the massive HSBC Rain Vortex, the largest indoor waterfall in the world. The water rains down 40 metres from Level 5 all the way to B1.

Oh well, maybe many will say it is man-made, but it was definitely pleasing to our eyes! In my personal opinion, this is an architectural genius!

I enjoyed the stunning and magical light & sound show of the new fountain at Changi Jewel! The fountain had a massive rainbow colored laser light projected on the HSBC Rain Vortex, and I was amazed by the largest indoor waterfall I had ever seen!!

We took our OOTDs at the entire Forest Valley is full of lush, leafy backdrops. The photo gave a strong bamboo grove feel, and I felt as if I was in Kyoto, Japan LOL!

Thanks Tracy for joining me to the preview of JEWEL CHANGI AIRPORT, and we enjoyed ourselves very much!

[food review] Lobster Mazesoba at Menya Sakura

Recently, Menya Sakura introduced the limited time only Lobster Mazesoba. This dish is served dry, and Mazesoba has become more popular lately in Singapore. Menya Sakura provides a free upsize, thus it makes it perfect for patrons with big appetites.

Upon being seated, we were given access to a free-flow mini salad bar which is offered to all their customers courtesy of Menya Sakura.

The Lobster Mazesoba has a unique medley of flavors, from savory to tangy. The thick miso paste is one of the various toppings, alongside spring onions, seaweed strips, tomatoes, a poached egg, and a lobster croquette. Before digging in, you need to douse all these ingredients with the ramen noodles, and do ensure that the vinegar and chili oil is mixed well too.

I enjoyed the Lobster Mazesoba very much, as the noodles were cooked pretty al dente with an amazingly delicious chewy bite. The portion of the mixture was proportional with the bouncy noodles. I really love the lobster cream croquette and I wish that there had been more. Those who love lobster should not hesitate to try this dish, and so don’t miss this chance to indulge in the Lobster Mazesoba while it is still available at Menya Sakura!

Apart from the Lobster Mazesoba, we also had our MUST-ORDER, Gyoza too. It tasted awesomely good, and each gyoza was perfect cooked!

I really love dining at Menya Sakura, as they make their ramen simple, but tastes heavenly good which leaves us wanting more! Lastly, thanks for hosting us!

[WiFi-enabled] Launch of Ariston Andris2

I was at the APS Lifestyle for the launch of their latest product, the 'Ariston Andris2'! This is Singapore's first ever WiFi-enabled smart water heater with app controls!

Ariston is one of the leading water heater brands in Singapore, and they are known for their pioneer state-of-the art technology and specialty water heaters. Their range of 'AURES' instant water heaters are especially famous, and in 2017, Ariston introduced the first ever SLIM storage water heater in Singapore!.

This year, Ariston proudly launched a brand new line of advanced water heaters through their 'Ariston Andris2' range. These new heaters are equipped with revolutionary smart technology, as well as having a renewed luxury design and a patented titanium heating medium. The Andris2 range includes the models of Andris2 Top, Andris2 Lux, and Andris2 RS.

The whole new Andris2 range comes with long-lasting Titanium Heating element with lifetime warranty (only for Andris2 Top and Andris2 Lux), an energy-Saving with smart ECO-EVO technology (only for Andris2 Top) and AG+ Silver Ions with antibacterial properties for greater hygiene.

The bonus for the Andris2 range is that they offer a superior temperature control, among the range, the smart Andris2 Top and Andris2 Lux models use a brand-new powerful chip to constantly measure the water temperature.

The premium Andris2 Top model is the first WiFi-enabled storage water heater in Singapore with dedicated app controls. With Ariston’s first-in-the-market remote control Aqua Ariston Net App for water heating, you will have total control whenever and wherever you are. You will be conveniently connected with your Andris2 Top smart water heater at the touch of your fingertips! You can also enjoy absolute peace of mind together with savings up to 25% with this new Smart Control Technology. With the Aqua Ariston Net App, it provides comfort and convenience to the users. You can have shower-ready notifications sent to your mobile for hot water and to receive constant up-to-date information about water temperature. Apart from the convenience, you can also set a weekly schedule to have hot water only when necessary. You can also power on or off the heater remotely, and the most important aspect is to be able to receive energy consumption reports to continuously monitor your own habits!

Ariston has always pride itself in developing durable products that last through time. To prove product durability, this unique component in Andris2 Top and Lux range comes complete with a lifetime warranty.

I love sleek and minimal designs that do not take up too much space in the bathroom. After all, a compact water heater means one will have a less cluttered and more spacious bathroom!

While we were touring around the showroom, we noticed a gorgeous wall-art that looked like a cascading fall.

To our surprise, it was an 'edible' wall-art made of chocolates created by Chef Janice Wong - a famous pastry chef who owns 2am:dessertbar which is located at Holland Village. She is known for her artisan desserts, and each chocolate lollipop tasted fabulous. I really love this artistic instalment very much!

Thank you Brand Cellar for having us at this event. The Ariston2 Top is available from October 2019 onwards, while the Andris2 Lux and Andris2 RS are available in April 2019. For more information, do visit AristonSingapore website.
