[Pleasure Seekers] MAGNUM INFINITY

MAGNUM threw their first Infinity Playground a couple of weeks ago at the ORGO, a bar on the roof terrace of The Esplanade.

I had a lovely gathering with Joanne, Chewy and Jia Hui at the Magnum's First Infinity Playground.

We took many photos before we entered the premises of the Magnum launch and we captured many beautiful views of Singapore.

It was my first time at the roof terrace, and I managed to capture the sunset.

With a nice entrance, a free flow of Magnum ice-cream, canapés, wines and alcohol spirits, I just couldn't help myself from feeling good to be part of this celebration launch.

This year, I was kinda disappointed as they omitted the DIY personalized Magnum ice-cream with various toppings which they used to have for past launches.

We indulged ourselves with the inspired cocktails by Magnum ice-cream and of course, an endless supply of magnum ice-cream.

The Magnum Infinity Playground was revealed after the presentation and with a count of 3.

A very cute and quirky "Magnum Infinity Wrapper" was given to people who wanted to use the tubular slide that was present in order to prevent any abrasions and injuries! The tubular slide consisted of twists and turns at a fast speed in an infinity pattern, and a enchanting light show was present while going down the slide! Chewy tried the Infinity Slide, and it was fun!

I enjoyed the Infinity Swing very much!

The ties that bind! Friendship forever!!

[opinion] Elizabeth Arden Flawless Future Caplet Serum + La Bodega

Elizabeth Arden Flawless Future Caplet Serum is part of my daily skincare regime and my skin conditions seemed to improve after usage for a week, although it is not as moisturizing as the other products available from Elizabeth Arden.

This product is a treat for the skin at the first sign of aging, and it keeps our skin in good condition for the future years!

It has a lightweight and non greasy watery/gel type texture.

I had the pleasure to use this wonderful product from Flawless Future Powered by Ceramide by Elizabeth Arden all thanks to Simply Her Magazine.

I was happy that Jeanne joined us for a pampering Sunday Brunch at Empire Shopping Gallery. Instead of re-visiting Jibby & Co, this time, we went to a new eatery place for our brunch. We settled at La Bodega, and they were shortlisted in the Best Breakfast/Brunch Food Category of 2009 Awards, as well as winning the Best Tapas in the Food Category in 2009.

The price was pretty steep to pay in Malaysia or to be exact in ringgit as after the conversion to SGD, the price was pretty on par to what we normally pay in Singapore for weekend brunch. However, the food quality made up for it!

I ordered the English Breakfast Set which came with scrambled eggs or poached eggs and homemade brown toast, and there was also a choice of 2 food entrees to choose from the list of selections. Lastly, I also had a cup of coffee/tea and a glass of fresh fruit juice to complete my whole set.

My English Breakfast Set - scrambled eggs with toast, chicken sausages, sautéed mushroom together with my English Breakfast Tea and Orange Carrot juice.

My breakfast is sumptuous and it couldn't be any better than this. I love the juicy mushroom with buttery taste!

Baby ordered a Spanish Breakfast, a complete platter to start a day. The set included scrambled eggs placed on the crispy toast along with sautéed mushroom, potato confit, asparagus, turkey chorizo and chicken sausages.

We had a marvellous good time at La Bodega and the food was awesome. Thanks Uncle Mike and Shelley for the wonderful and hearty brunch. We enjoyed it very much, thanks ya!

[United States holiday] Statue of Liberty

The Statue of Liberty is a world renowned Icon, featuring in many forms of history and pop culture. Whenever I see the statue of Lady Liberty on television, I often ask myself, will I ever be able to meet her in person? I live a thousand miles across the ocean away from her, so this thought is often moot. However, it is true that life is always full of surprises, and dreams do come true before we even know it! Meeting Lady Liberty has always been my dream, and my dream was fulfilled during my trip to NYC in April 2015!

We took the Liberty Cruise from Battery Park, and it took us 20mins to reach Liberty Island. The strong and chilling wind did not stop us from taking selfies when the ferry was approaching near to the magnificent statue.

The Statue of Liberty is designed by a French Sculptor and was a gift to the United States from the people of France. The statue is an icon of freedom for the United States and also a welcome signal to the foreign immigrants arriving from aboard.

Never thought that I actually can visit New York and see the Statue of Liberty up close with my every own eyes!

A trip to New York will never be complete without a visit to the Statue of Liberty. I always wanted to climb up to the crown of the statue, but visiting the crown needs strict advance bookings as they limit the restricted number of visitors each day. We tried to purchase our admission online 2 months prior to our departure date, but it was already sold out. We were just able to buy the tickets to the pedestal of the statue.

Access to the pedestal was a good experience for us as we got to go in statue and visit the museum.

It was awesome beyond words, and it was a treat to get to know the history of this BIG & TALL LADY. She is the symbol of freedom not only for the Americans but for each and every one of us.

The Statue of Liberty is one of the most celebrated symbols of freedom and the rich history of Lady Liberty is something that changes not only NYC but the rest of the world.

We climbed up few hundred steps of the stairs to get to the foot of Lady Liberty, and we were greeted by a beautiful view of Manhattan skyline (A complete view of NY).

Even though there is a difference in Manhattan Skyline now, but it still looks as beautiful as before.

I picked up a statue of Lady Liberty and gold medallions from the gift shop for a memento/keepsake!

Visiting Liberty Island is part of everyone's bucket list and I am glad that it is now officially crossed off from my list!
