[food tasting] Xi Men Ding at VivoCity

It has been 2 months since I went to a food tasting event, and I was happy to be invited by the good people from Creative Eateries to indulge in the best Taiwanese cuisine at Xi Men Ding, which is located at VivoCity.

Xi Men Ding introduced some healthy choices of food for their diners. They came out with a few salad entrees featuring their homemade salad dressing.

We got to try out the Goma Dressing, and we had the Mixed Salad with Chicken, Seafood and Pork (SGD12.90) The dressing complemented with the vegetables very well, and I enjoyed the lotus crisps.

The portion was pretty generous, and it was big enough to share among 4 person. A great starter for sharing with peers.

We had the Brazilian Mushroom in Chicken Broth (SGD7.90), and it tasted great. Although the Brazilian Mushroom looked bitter, and not appetizing, the flavor itself that was infused into the soup tasted marvellous.

The clincher of the night was the Steamed Cod with Radish (SGD18.90)! I love eating the preserved radish (caipo) very much. The tasty sauce enhanced the whole taste of dish!

'San Bei' King Mushroom with Basil (SGD16.90) is best to go with our staple food, rice/porridge.

'Xue Cai' Tofu (SGD14.90) tasted awesome too, and I enjoyed it being paired with the sweet potato porridge.

It is always nice to meet up with some blogging peers at a food tasting event, as we can share and compare our views in general on the food that we ate.

Radish & Egg Pancake (SGD12.80) is my all-time favorite comfort food, and it tasted delicious.

Lastly, we rounded up our meal with desserts, Sweet Taro Pasta (SGD5.90). I love the smooth texture and it tasted just about the right amount of sweetness for my taste buds.

Fruity Mochi (SGD6.50)

Thanks for the invite! I had a delightful food tasting session!
