Squid Game at the Brown Butter Café

Image
The Korean Drama - Squid Game has been making headlines ever since its launch on Netflix, with tons of social media contents revolving around the games played in the drama. The classic yet iconic ones include Red Light, Green Light, and the cutting game of Dalgona/Honeycomb candy.   Brown Butter Café  - A local café is riding on the trend and is introducing a Squid Game challenge to you. Simply cut out the shape from your Dalgona /Honeycomb   candy perfectly, without breaking it just like in the drama within a time frame of 2 minutes to win a free Iced Latte! Meryl and I decided to visit this café to take part in the Honeycomb Challenge .  Unfortunately, both of us didn’t manage to complete the challenge successfully. I broke my 'STAR' shape while Meryl only completed her task after the time ran out! It broke, and I'm "dead"! I didn't win anything... We flooded our IG/TikTok feeds with all angles of every Instagram-worthy corners in the café. We ...

Sending mini invitations to Keljessloft

Both Baby and I love afternoon tea, and we invited Tracy and Sweetie over to my place for an afternoon tea session. Unfortunately, we are not able to have a large group gathering for dining due to the restrictions for dining-in presently, so we DIY-ed our very own afternoon tea with some classic high-tea items! We were glad that we picked up a 3-tier High-Tea stand from Lazada for less than 8dollars. We had fruit tarts, mini cupcakes, chocolate chips cookies and strawberry wafers for sweets and ham & cheese bread as our savories. I was glad that they enjoyed the Afternoon Tea that we had prepared for them. This is the result of having higher dine-in restrictions... If we can't go for high tea together, the high tea can come to us!  Thanks for coming and a BIG shout-out to Sweetie for her lovely house-warming gift! A throwback to one of my random weekends, where we drove to Simpang Bedok for brekkie. It has been a long hiatus since I last visited the  Jalan Tua Kong L...

Beauty Sampling Box from Clozette Beauty Club + Intensive Soothing Concentrate by AEIRCREME

Image
The best way to stay in the know about the latest trends in makeup, skincare, haircare, and related information are through these beauty boxes. They are definitely the initial step for recommendations on whether these products are worth-trying to users.   I love receiving beauty boxes, as it is a fun way to discover  new products that I may not have tried before, and it is also a good way to re-discover my long-forgotten favorites. I am happy that I was being selected to receive the September Beauty Sampling Box from the  Clozette Beauty Club  which featured the popular haircare brand – KMS. Inside the box, there was only one full-sized product from  KMS STYLECOLOR (Stone Wash Denim)  and Clozette Draw-String pouch. Lastly, thanks  Clozette  for sending over the September Beauty Sampling Box! I was introduced to the  Intensive Soothing Concentrate by AEIRCREME  sometimes back. It is specially formulated for skin prone to drynes...

Birthday Celebration at LAVO Italian Restaurant & Rooftop Bar

Image
I made a lunch reservation to celebrate Baby’s birthday at LAVO Italian Restaurant & Rooftop Bar which is located at the  Sands SkyPark, Marina Bay Sands. The LAVO Italian Restaurant & Rooftop Bar has a spectacular view spot overlooking the city of Singapore. It's a tremendous view and I really enjoyed how beautiful our city sky line was!   Upon arrival, we were greeted with a brilliant smile, and were lead to our table! Complimentary bread was served to us after we made our orders. We had the LAVO Set lunch. The 3-course LAVO Set Lunch comes with a choice of Starter, Main Course and Dessert. Apart from the food item from the lunch set, we also added a cold appetizer - Tiger Shrimp Cocktail and 2 glasses of Cocktails. I love my Squid Ink Pasta with Salmon very much! Baby had Meatball Tomato-based Spaghetti at an additional SGD10++ to his set meal.  For dessert, I ended my meal with a yummy piece of cheese cake. I liked the soft, creamy text...
