[Media Invite] First Look of The Mongol Khan and its Graphic Novel Launch

The Mongol Khan is set to make its Asian premiere at Sands Theatre, Marina Bay Sands from 17 October 2024 after a sell-out season at the London Coliseum in 2023. This is the first time a Mongolian theatrical production will take stage in Singapore.

The show is a blend of fiction as well as different historical events that took place in Central Asia 3,000 years ago. It will showcase a large-scale production with lavish sets and costumes, The Mongol Khan will be performed by an ensemble of over 70 actors, dancers and musicians that combines song, dance, acrobatics and puppetry. This epic Mongolian production is inspired by the evolution of the Mongolian culture, it presents a gripping tale of a brutal succession that threatens the essence of an Empire.

I was delighted to be invited to attend the First Look of The Mongol Khan and its Graphic Novel Launch. I was glad to be there to gain some insights into this upcoming theatrical spectacle before its Asia Premiere season in Singapore.

Canapés and drinks were served throughout the launch!

I enjoyed the cultural performances, and we were in awe of the original costumes used in the production which are all created based on Mongolia’s cultural history.

We were introduced to The Mongol Khan as well as a book signing with Hero Bataar, the Author of the Graphic Novel for The Mongol Khan and the Director and Executive Producer of the show.

We were surprised during the autograph session, as Hero Bataar not only signed the book with his signature, but he had also asked us to write our names and put our signatures on the page as well, he then transformed our signatures into two animals - my signature was re-created to a camel while Baby’s became a wolf. He is such a talent when it comes to drawing!

Lastly, Baby was interviewed by Base Entertainment Asia

Don't miss this spectacular theatrical show, and tickets are now on sale via Marina Bay Sands Ticketing, SISTIC and KLOOK. UOB Debit and Credit Cardholders enjoy a 15% discount off tickets across all categories and performances.
