[France Summer Vacation] Day 07: Disneyland Paris

We made the trip outside of the city to visit Disneyland Paris and it is about an hour on the RER-C train from Paris. Although it was my second visit to this 'happiest place on earth', I was still feeling excited. We purchased our tickets via Klook, as they were having a promotion of 1-for-1 tickets. Thanks Baby for getting the tickets, and it was so worth it!

Disneyland Paris is composed of two theme parks - Parc Disneyland and Walt Disney Studios. Our heavily discounted tickets only allow one park admission, and we chose Parc Disneyland.

Disneyland Paris celebrates their 30th-anniversary this year, and we were lucky to be part of their celebration when we were there!

~ A place where all fairy tales come true and magical moments live forever ~

For the 30th Anniversary of Disneyland Paris, a brand-new show/parade was performed several times a day on the Central Plaza route, right in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle.

The show featured more than 30 Disney Characters and dancers with new colorful floats and a unique soundtrack - Un monde qui s’illumine.

It was a great opportunity for us to see Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, and other Disney characters and friends who were all decked out in new iridescent costumes that were created specially for the 30th anniversary. Many other characters included the Genie from Aladdin, Jessie and Woody from Toy Story who were all part of the celebration!

We went to the Toad Hall for lunch, and we ordered a set of Fish & Chips for each person

Enchanté Baloo from the Jungle Book, and we took a photo with him!

We also visited Mickey's House, and we had a good time at his place.

Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast is a combination of a shooting gallery and a dark ride.

Basically, the ride is to shoot the villain Zurg to gain more points and the ride can be rotated 360 degree. This is a pretty addictive attraction.

Star Wars: Hyperspace Mountain is an indoor/outdoor steel roller coaster, and I couldn't see anything as the ride was moving at a super high speed. Screaming and yelling was ALL I DID for the entire journey when I was on the ride. Totally insanely thrilling and kinda horrifying at the same time too!

Star Tours is a motion simulator attraction with the Star Wars theme. This is a MUST for every Star Wars’ die-hard fan!

to Adventureland for another round of thriller roller-coaster rides! This time we challenged the Indiana Jones et le Temple du Péril!

Based on the Indiana Jones films, we were taken on an adventure ride in a high-speed roller coaster (mine train) through an ancient temple. As compared to Hyperspace Mountain, this ride was tamer. I enjoyed it sooooo much.

Pirates of the Caribbean is a log flume type of dark ride. During the course of the indoor boat ride, both Baby & I experienced the larger-than-life pirate adventure featuring gunshots, cannon blasts, burning buildings, and carousing and pillaging pirates. OM!! I am impressed with the way the setting was set up, as it is simply remarkable and detailed!!

Phantom Manor is designed to be scarier and darker than the other Haunted Mansion rides. I love this spooky ride, as the haunted house was pretty well set-up, and some parts were pretty scary too!

Thanks Baby, I had fun in Disneyland Paris as we tried out most of the rides, except some of the other rides from Fantasyland as the rides were either too kiddy or the line was horrendous!

Our loot from Disneyland Paris, as we picked up some exclusive merchandises from the 30th Anniversary theme!

A trip down to Disneyland Paris brought back many fond memories where we visited Paris for the first time, way back in 2011 (more than decade ago). Thanks Baby for making it happen again, Je t'aime, Mon Cherie - Baby (:

We ended our day with a nice Italian dinner at Restaurant Pompei, which is located diagonally from our hotel. I can literally see the restaurant from my hotel window.

The damage was slightly pricey, but the food but the food was legitimately good! No complaints at all from us, as the damage was well compensated by the quality of the food served! Stay tuned for my write up on my experience of my full day tour in a visit to another region in France, Normandy!
