Amazon Prime Day Carnival + Gathering at Char & Stew Kitchen

After a pretty long of hiatus, Baby and I went to Tan Yu , which is located at Westgate for our lunch.

Both Baby and myself are not a fan of classic mala cuisine, so therefore, we ordered the Grilled Fish with Soy Sauce (a non-spicy version!). For our easy indulgence, we always pick the fish fillets instead of a whole fish as we hate fish bones!

I enjoyed eating the Noodles with Garlic Oil, and it has become a ‘MUST-ORDER’ item in Tan Yu  for me! We also had the Lychee Prawn Balls, which tasted awesomely good. The damage was SGD81-ish, and this was a lunch treat for my Baby!

I recently had a gathering meetup session with some of my ex and present colleagues at the Char & Stew Kitchen, which is located pretty near Tai Seng Station.

We had signature Peppery Chicken & Pig Stomach Charcoal Hotpot, and the soup was served in a claypot. The soup was boiled with chicken bones, and I found that it had a pleasant sweet taste! There was an abundance of n, pig stomach & cabbage inside the boiling soup. We were surprised that there was no strong porky carried by the pig stomach.

Char & Stew Kitchen also offers a selection of meat skewers that cost a dollar for a stick. We grilled them over an actual charcoal grill. Thanks for the company, as I enjoyed myself very much! We talked and shared about everything under the sun for a good 4 hours during our meet up! Let's have another one again!

I was pretty sad to learn that my bosom colleague/friend/‘bro’ - Nita had submitted her resignation letter, and she has finished serving her notice duration on her final month!

Leaving the company doesn't mean losing a friend, and this is an assurance that she repeated to us. However, the thought of not being able to meet her anymore daily in the office made us all feel gloomy. I am comforted by the fact that she ensured she would meet up with me once a week to have lunch together, as her new work place is just opposite my office building.

On her last day of work, she gave a small gift to the colleagues who work directly with her, but the closer ones all received a sweet farewell note from her!

I was at Capitol Piazza for lunch on a random weekend, and we settled ourselves at the So Good Char Chan Teng. This eatery is one of Baby’s favorites as it serves comfort HKG food fare. We love the quality of the food.

There was an Amazon Prime Day Carnival at the Capitol Piazza, Outdoor Plaza. At the carnival, there were some game booths that we could take part in and potentially win prizes. The entry was free, so long as you flashed the Amazon app on your phone to staff members in order to gain entry to the carnival.

Baby and I had fun at this interactive carnival-style event at Capitol Piazza. The carnival games included nostalgic target games to memory wall games, and below were the prizes we won from the game booths!

Upon finishing all the games, we redeemed a tray of snacks which includes Coca Cola’s newly launched Fuze Tea, a banana, and a snack bar!
