October's Kuala Lumpur Staycation

I had a short getaway to Kuala Lumpur (KL) on a random weekend by Scoot. Our flight was scheduled on a Friday night and we rushed to the airport after our work.

We did our check-in, and we went to have a light dinner before boarding the plane. As usual, Daddy Mike picked up us from the airport, and sent us to Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur Hotel. The hotel is approximately an hour from KLIA (depending on the traffic conditions) and it is located within the Chow Kit area. Checking-in at the hotel was a breeze, as it was probably due to it being almost midnight.

The room was spacious, which was also located on the same level as the Sheraton Club Lounge. The food selection at the club lounge was kinda disappointing as compared to the other hotels that i had stayed before in KL.

We were pretty surprised when we were asked to dine our breakfast at the common area instead at the club room. The breakfast spread was pretty wide in selection!

We had our afternoon tea and evening cocktails at the lounge.

At night, Daddy Mike bought us to Limapulo: Baba Can Cook which is located at Jalan Doraisamy which was literally opposite the hotel we stayed.

We ordered quite a number of dishes, such as chap Chye, Nonya Curry Chicken, Sambal Petai, Laksa, Satay, Chendol and many more.

After our meal, we walked down a few shops away and settled at Kwong Cheung Kopitiam Bar to have some drinks before calling off the night.

Daddy Mike picked us up from the hotel after we checked out, he bought us to Soon Fish Head Noodle Cafe for Fish Head Noodle Soup. I like simply love the tasty rich soup filled with rice vermicelli, salted vegetables, shredded ginger, sliced of tomato. It is always good to have their sambal chili to compliment the noodle soup to have a spicy kick on your palate.

As our flight back to Singapore was around 11-ish at night, we had plenty of time on the last day to do more shopping. While shopping, we stopped for tea, and we had yam cake to go along our black tea!

We had dinner with the folks before heading to the airport. We had another of Bak Kut Teh for dinner before heading to the airport.

We were so glad that we have managed to try out so much nice food and had a wonderful retail therapy as well during our trip to Kuala Lumpur. We will be back again for more shopping and makan-ing!
