[makan in Singapore] Ceylonese Crabs + Pasta Fresca Da Salvatore + Hey Kee Restaurant

On a nice Saturday afternoon, I met up my girlfriends for lunch, as recently, I was introduced to Ceylonese Crabs - a Sri Lankan restaurant offering an array of authentic Ceylonese dishes. It is located at the Seafood Centre of East Coast Park Singapore, and it aims to cater the Sri Lankan palate in a foreign land.

We started off our meal with their Welcome Juice, and it went well with our Ceylonese Bite order - Batter Fried Onion Rings.

I loved their Sri Lankan Egg Fried Rice, and I loved that they used Basmati Rice and some Sri Lankan spices in the dish.

We also ordered the famous Sri Lankan Street Food - Roast Chicken Cheese Koththu, and it tasted pretty delicious.

We ordered the Grilled Herby Jumbo Sri Lankan Prawns served with Saffron Rice and Cavier Butter Dip. The prawns were very meaty, juicy and nicely grilled to perfection.

The shells did not stick to the meat and was easily removed. It was served with a side of vegetables and a small portion of Saffron rice. Don’t forget to squeeze the lime as it adds a nice zesty kick to the whole dish!

We ended our lunch at Ceylonese Crabs with their complimentary Sri Lankan tea.

If you are not a crab person, fret not, as at Celyonese Crabs one can still be able to experience a Gastronomic Feast of dishes prepared using the finest Sri Lankan spices and recipes. We had a truly Sri Lankan dining experience at Ceylonese Crabs!

As a pioneer of authentic Italian fare in Singapore for a long time, Pasta Fresca Da Salvatore has left a deep impression on the local Italian cuisine scene. This quaint restaurant chain has been around since I was a little girl, and it offers a genuine and homely experience of Southern Italian cuisine.

Baby and I went down to Siglap area to have our lunch at Pasta Fresca Da Salvatore. It feels like travelling into the memory lane of yesteryear!

I love home-baked bread with olive oil and vinegar, as it was a simple yet authentic starter of my Italian cuisine.

Unsurprisingly, the taste was tremendous! Portions were just right and the price was affordable for Italian fare! It was a perfect place to bring date for a meal.

Both Baby and I re-visited Hey Kee Restaurant for dinner on a random weekday.

We ordered the Sweet and Sour Pork with Pineapple is a classic dish and is a staple in Cantonese Cuisine. It was not overly sweet and maintained a well-balance taste with the pineapple chunks.

We will be come back soon, as our house is pretty near to location of this eatery place and of course the food tasted good. It was a good Zichar Spot which definitely worth to check out!
