[Food Review] JDB Jackpot + Chef Recipe @ Bedok

We had an amazing charcoal hotpot buffet + BBQ dinner at JDB Jackpot. There are 6 soup bases to choose from, and we opted for the Pork Bone and mushroom broth!

Their dinner hotpot is priced at $32.80+ and is inclusive of free-flow of drinks! (3 types of drinks to choose from:Water Chestnut, Calamansi Juice and Ice Lemon Tea), There's also a self-mix Haidilao-style Sauce Counter and there was even free ice-cream and orange slices for dessert. It is definitely value-for-money as you have access to more than 70 items to choose from!

Singapore’s only LIVE Prawn HotPot + BBQ Buffet‘s main draw is that you’re allowed to catch your own live prawns out of a tank for your consumption! You’re allowed to catch as many prawns as you like from the big tank but note that prawns will only be replenished at certain timings/intervals.

I loved the great dining environment here. There’s indoor dining with AC, but there’s also outdoor seating with cooling fans. I still felt comfortable even though we were seated outdoors!

Although we felt guilty and sorry for cooking the live prawns in our hotpot, they tasted absolutely fresh and great! We were most impressed by their rich broths and tasty noodles.

Children below 110CM are free. Above 110CM and 12 years old/below 12 years old are half price. Time limit for dine-in: 90 mins

Chef Recipe is located at a brightly lighted and airy coffee shop - Yong Li Coffee Station. It offers an array of western food at affordable prices and comes in a generous serving portion!

Besides the usual chicken chop and fish & chips, the menu also covers pasta dishes, sandwiches, cheese baked rice, and burgers. They have quite a big selection in their menu to satisfy anyone's western cravings, which makes it the perfect spot for everyone who is looking for a delightful and fulfilling meal! I really had a hard time pondering over what to choose, as there were so many choices. It made me have a hard time in deciding what to eat!

Kurobuta with Fried Rice is must-try dish, as a huge piece of Kurobuta is grilled to perfection. It was quite a treat! I love the taste of the black pork, and the tender meat was extremely juicy and well-seasoned. It tasted incredibly delicious!

I love the nostalgic taste of Western delights in our local scene. If you are looking for a good old-fashioned Western delight, do pop by Chef Recipe @ Bedok for a meal!
