An ensemble romantic comedy, 'Love In Space' is the sequel of  'Hot Summer Days'. The story relvoles around a widow, May (played Yu Fan) and her three grown daughters who are successful in all aspects of their lives except romance ...

The oldest daughter, Rose (starring René Liu) is feisty and independent astronaut who has been assigned to outer space with her ex-boyfriend Michael (played by Aaron Kwok). Stuck together and alone in their zero-gravity space station, the two quarrel about how they feel after break-up but they can’t hide the fact that they are still in love with each other.

The second daughter, Lily (played by Gwen Lun Mei) is a germaphobic who studies art in Sydney, Australia. She encounters and falls in love with garbage collector, Johnny (starring Eason Chan).

Lastly, in the showbiz arena of Beijing, youngest daughter Peony (played by Angelababy) gets her recognition by being voted for the Worst Movie Actress but she is still loved by the public and media. She has been starving for romantic love in her not-so-private life. She decided to disguise herself and uses a pseudonym to take up a job as a café waitress to research her next role in order to improve her acting skills... Soon she finds herself falling in love with Wen Feng (starring Jing Boran) who is an aspiring writer but he abandons his writing to take a café job due to some frustrations over his writing career. Peony maintains her anonymity and they grow close and he always drops her off at a mundane location where he thinks she lives. But soon the conflicts arise when he takes up another job as an extra on the film that stars Peony...

3.5/5

Overall, this movie is watchable as a whole, just that the storyline is cliché. The cinematography is  pretty good. Happy endings are inevitable and the journey getting there are great fun because 'Love in Space' is witty and rich in fairytale. The movie was released on the 8th September 2011, so catch it soon!
