Pepper Lunch Funnival + Singapore mandarin play - 'Catfished’
We are big fans of Pepper Lunch, and we were rather happy to have been invited to their exclusive campaign - The 'Pepper Lunch Funnival' which is an annual event for Pepper Lunch customers.
This year, this highly anticipated annual event was held at Plaza Singapura. Upon entering, we were given a goodie bag, and I tried my best to grab an exclusive Pepper Lunch plush from the claw machine, but I failed. Tough luck man!
During the event, there was a food truck that offered an irresistible food deal - Beef Pepper Lunch Burger with a can of Pepsi for only SGD3. It tasted awesomely good, and was a steal!
We enjoyed ourselves at the instant photo booth, whereby we posed against a background that was colored in paddle pop rainbow pastel colors. It was definitely a great instagrammable photo spot!
Thanks for the experience, Pepper Lunch!
Recently, there was a summer promotion where we could redeem a mug of Jim Bean Highball for free in the month of June. I registered my interest with my Baby to redeem our drinks from Don Don Donki Jewel.
We picked up some Japanese snacks to go along with our drinks, and it was such a wonderful experience!
In 'Catfished', the play highlights the influence and effects on one's identity in modern-day relationships. The women are drawn into the alluring world of social media in search of love, which ends in getting caught in between what is virtual and what is real on the web.
What I liked best about this play was how it shed light on how digital apps and social media can be misused, and how it might affect one's mental health. This is a serious reflection on whether technology has been helpful in
connecting us with the world today.
While leaving the theatre, my head was filled with many questions - Can we really trust who we meet and what we see online? Have we lost the value of having face to face communication in this digital era?
'Catfished' is presented by The FLUX Media. It is directed by Yeo Lyle and written by Dennis Toh. Looking forward to the next interesting local play in the near future!
I end my post with a photo with Tracy, she got me a cute Rattan bag during her trip to Bali. Thanks a lot ya!
