HMM's Dinner & Dance 2024 + Dinner at The Dragon Chamber / Dumpling Darlings / Thachang
Every December, my Company (HMM) holds its annual Dinner & Dance, and this year's event was held on the first week of December at the Sky Garden, Sentosa.
Kudos to the NICEST colleagues to work with!
My amazing fun-loving department!
My night ended on a happy note, as I won the 3rd prize during the
raffle draw! Lucky me! I brought home a Sterra Galaxy Premium
Massage Chair. Thanks HMM for the early Christmas gift!
Thanks for the starry door gifts such as the fairy lights in bottle, a Cute Star Shaped Night Light Battery LED Lamp, and a personalized pebble paper weight.
I fell in love with The Dragon Chamber since my first visit, and this restaurant was introduced to me by N, my ex-colleague. So, I decided to bring my lunch kakis, Jae to this place for dinner, along with us, Manang Jane joined us too.
IMHO, it is one of the more interesting places for dining options. It is located at Circular Road, where the place faces the main road and do note that it is quite easy to miss the restaurant as there is no big signboard.
Upon entering the eatery place, it looks like a normal eatery place, but in reality this is actually just the waiting area. There is only 1 service staff there to welcome walk-in and reservations guests. Once our table is ready, we entered the main dining hall behind the beer fridge.
Once we entered in from the secret door, we were led to a spooky dark alley before entering the chamber. The main restaurant is pretty spacious and has strong vibes of high society in the olden day in Shanghai.
The Wagyu Truffle Beef Hor Fun is a NOT-TO-BE-MISSED FOOD ITEM when visiting this restaurant. It is not the usual hor fun one finds at the usual cze-zhar stalls. The initial bowl of hor fun comes with some deep-fried crisps, premium wagyu beef slices and a poached egg. The finishing touch was when the service staff poured the truffle gravy and mixed all the ingredients together right in front of our eyes.
It is a truly signature dish at The Dragon Chamber. The wagyu beef slices simply melted in our mouths, and the truffle gravy enhanced the overall taste and flavors. It is a must-order dish when you visit The Dragon Chamber.
Our bluey has reached its 10th year service, and she is now officially retired. Now we are still sourcing for our new car, and meanwhile, both Baby and I have been commuting by taking public transportation.
One a random day, we met up for dinner at Bugis Junction after work. We settled down at Thachang, as we love Thai Cuisine.
We felt that the Fried Rice with Omelette & Crab Meat was kinda overpriced, as the portion was too small. The damage for the Tom Yum was justified by the huge portion.
I am ending my post with Jae’s Birthday Celebration at Dumpling Darlings which is located at Circular Road.
We ended our meal with dessert dumplings. They were freshly fried and piping hot so be sure to eat it with the ice cream. We had a delightful time together!
