Food Tasting at Yue Long Men Hotpot

I recently had a kind invite from Alethea to attend a food session at Yue Long Men Hotpot which is located at the heart of Chinatown. It's always nice to have my lovely bestie, Meryl with me at food tastings.



At Yue Long Men, diners get to savor their own individual hotpot of their favorite broth, but at the same communal experience will be had  as it will be on the same table. 


We were so happy to meet up at the restaurant to warm our tummies up with a wide selection of broths, seafood/meat slices, as well as a FREE-FLOW Xiao Long Baos!



There are up to 9 different broths to choose from, and my favorite was the tomato soup base. It was rich, thick and tasted delicious. Both Meryl and I enjoyed our hotpot very much. Do save some space for your stomach, as you can have an unlimited serving of xiao long Bao throughout your meal! This was definitely the highlight of our visit!


I loved the freshly sliced meat (beef and pork) very much, as they are my usual staple food iems for any hotpot dinner. They tasted awesome, and I was glad that they were not placed at the buffet counter. 


The eatery place is rather comfy, and I personally prefer individual hotpots, as I can pick my favorite broth instead of having to discuss or debate with others. This allows everyone to be happy with respective choices. For those who dislike hotpot sharing and/or are particular about hygiene – Yue Long Men Hotpot is your BEST choice!

[Nights with Netflix] Screening of Next Gen

Thanks Hpility , for extending your invite to me to attend the 'Nights with Netflix' event. This event was to check out Netflix's Singapore office, as well as to catch a special preview of an awesome screening! photo credits to hpility.sg   Netflix Singapore's office is located at Marina One West Tower , and it looked splendid! How I wish I could work in such a wonderful environment! The pantry looks just like an eatery place, and was well stocked with drinks, snacks and even cup noodles!   Nextflix won the global rights to stream the movie 'Next Gen' , and this newly animated movIe debuts on the 7th of September 2018 .  'Next Gen' is a family-friendly movie with pretty good computer animated visuals for a non-Disney/ Pixar/ DreamWorks production.     This film, 'Next Gen' was based on a short online comic from the Chinese Multimedia Company 'Baozou' .
