Great meal @ Lorong 33, Geylang Claypot Rice

Baby read up some rave reviews online on Geylang Claypot Rice which is located at Lorong 33, and therefore he decided to bring me to try out this famous Geylang Claypot Rice which bears more than 2 decades of history and delighted the tastebuds of at least 3 generations of Singaporean...

Geylang is an area in Singapore that provides fantastic eats at affordable prices in an unpretentious simple setting.

Baby called up and ordered the signature claypot rice about 30 minutes before we reached the eatery place, as their claypot rice needs at least 25 minutes to prepare from scratch...

The server/helper prepared the rice for us by pouring in a couple of rounds of black sauce and mixed it vigorously...

I asked him to leave the black sauce on our table after he was done with the mixing, as I prefer a generous amount of black sauce... The rice texture was great, every grain is nicely separated and absorbed all the flavours from the generous ingredients. I love the generous portion of Chinese Sausages (lup cheong) loads (:

The chicken meat was well-marinated and absolutely succulent, juicy and flavourful. It was really yummy! It was really unique to enjoy the awesome claypot rice along the roadside as that is where the eatery place situated...

Home-made Tofu with Prawns delighted our dinner... The thick fresh meat gravy was awesome, and I couldn't resist myself to scoop and drink it directly... The sweetness of the crab-meat enhanced a nice flavour to the gravy. I am totally in love with the tofu!!

We ordered Old Cucumber Soup (Lao Huang Gua Tang)... It costs slightly higher than normal Cze Char stall and was well simmered. The soup was so tasty that it will make you say 'ah' after one sip...

I will definitely be back again to try out the unique Thai Style Soft Shell Crab that we missed when we were there... I am totally convinced by the word of mouth that they served great food. The service was good, we waited barely 10 minutes for the food to be served... The damage was pretty decent too, we paid SGD31...

------------------------------------------------------------

We went to Secret Chamber, located at Thomson Plaza on a random day after work...

We were greeted by the gigantic lego-made Woody!! Thanks for welcoming 'Jessie' to the store... Hahaha!!

Our LEGO mini figures collection for Series 6 is completing soon with only one figure left... We decided to buy the Roman Soldier directly from the store which cost us SGD12.90 as the chances of getting 'claypot' is very high if we go for random pack which cost lesser...

Our collection is completed with *RARE* piece - Roman Soldier...

Thanks Baby for putting in the hard work and hard-earned money to complete the set (:
