Café Asia 2016, International Coffee & Tea Industry Expo 2016 andSweets & Bakes Asia 2016

Singapore once again took center stage being the host for Café Asia 2016, International Coffee & Tea Industry Expo 2016 (ICT Expo 2016) and Sweets & Bakes Asia 2016.

 
As research has shown, coffee and tea are probably the two most popular beverages around the world. The tremendous growth of the cafe culture, the presence of an expatriate population, the increasing numbers of Singapore returning from overseas work/study have created a demand for speciality coffees, high-powered cafe machinery as well as a more robust barista expertise!
 



 
I had attended the shows for the past 4 years, and I appreciate the avid passion, heart and soul of the people in the industry. Since the launch Cafe Asia and International Coffee & Tea Industry Expo in 2013, the shows have served as a springboard for local and international industry players. Of course, I noticed that the shows have become bigger each year with new exhibitors around the world.

 
I was given a bite size of a waffle at the ROD Cafe, and I love it very much!

 
The shows were launched on the 3rd March 2016, during the 3 days exhibition, and only the last day (5th March) is opened to the public for admission. There was a comprehensive programme on everything coffee, tea and bakery including exclusive workshops, classes, and demonstrations of the latest technologies, trends and techniques. In addition, there will be various tasting sessions from various booths.

 
I always have a soft spot for Chai tea, though many people find it tastes exotic due to the spices used. Do give it a try, and you maybe discover the different side of the beauty of Chai tea.


 
Breakthrough the traditional way to enjoy coffee! Cafe de Brasil offers a new revolutionized way to get our coffee fix through bite snacks which tasted like chocolate!

 
The annual Singapore Bakery & Confectionery Championship 2016 which is organised by the Singapore Bakery & Confectionery Trade Association (SBCTA), assembled top bakers and confectioners to showcase their talents and skills in a competition to whip up the most delicious dessert and pastries.
 

 
Sweets & Bakes Asia serves as a one-stop hub for baking and confectionery industry professionals to source for suppliers and vendors, as well as to explore business opportunities.
